Is thia available in powder?

Yes. To be mixed with water. It is a great deal less expensive, but not all babies will drink the mixture. I have blended the two together in 3oz liquid to 1oz powder and the baby then drank the mixture.

Can this be put in the fridge after opening? The smaller bottles say to discard after an hour of opening and it seems so wasteful.

This is the info from Similac’s website: 32-fl-oz bottles: Once opened, store immediately in the refrigerator for up to 3 days (72 hours) or 2 days (48 hours) when opening Alimentum. If poured into individual baby bottles, store immediately in the refrigerator and feed within 48 hours

Why does the cardboard box say, “do not use cutter”?

Most likely because you may penetrate the plastic formula bottles inside the box.
