O'NEILLMen's Basic Skins 50+ Short Sleeve Sun Shirt

I bought this wetsuit tee about 4 months ago before going to Puerto Rico. Let me start of by saying this holy crap does this thing block out the sun! The white was a very solid white and held its color amazingly well even with the extreme conditions I put it through (dipping in and out of the sea, bleach washes, long exposure to sun, jumping off waterfall, hiking, scraping against rocks). Went right into the ocean with it on, got out of the water and dried completely within the half hour. I wore this hiking into "El Yunque" did an amazing job of keeping me well insulated at the peak of the mountain and also fought of the heat from the tropic sun (assuming bc of the color of the shirt)Pros-Dries FastMaintains Body Temp while still being very BreathableHolds color very well (even after long term sun exposure and dipping in and out of salt water)Didn't tear at all (had by body against some sharp rocks while hiking, held up with absolutely no holes)Stops sticking to body within 3 minutes of being out of waterColor may make a difference in how the suns affects you (black absorbing heat while white repels heat)Cons-Need to order 2 sizes up from what ever a fitted tee size is for you (but fits great at the +2 scale)Without sunblock will cause very ugly tan lines, blocks something like 40% of UV raysStretches slightly while in water (expected)Whenever I order swim gear in the future, I will be sure to look out for the O'Neill name brand.

I am going on a hawaii trip with my husband and wanted him to be protected from the sun when we walk around or go swimming. Because the intention isnt all surfing I decided to go with this less traditional rash gaurd tee rather than the tight rash gaurds that are more common.The rash gaurds that were tight that he tried on didnt fit in his accurate sizes and were tight and uncomfortable. my husband wears and solid XL. the tight rash guards he needed like a XXL or a XXL and we were just unhappy. I bought this one crossing my fingers that it would fit because it was looser.It fits him perfectly and comfortably. It is tight enough that he can wear it in the water and it not balloon up, but it is roomy enough he can walk around town and not feel like he is wearing something constricting.Oneill brand products will never let you down. they are made with high standards and with care to the sports they are intended for. I always feel comfortable ordering this brand and will continue to do so. the quality is apparent on this shirt.it is 100 UV protection .I love the versatility that it offers both on land and water and am more than happy with my choice!

Nice shirt. Bought a xxL. I'm 511. 230 ish loosing weight. A scuba diver. Its kinda like a weight suit. A little snug in the middle but im doing 500 ab crunches a day soooo and more. Good shirt though

I love their shirts. I bought XL in 2020. Fits perfect. Bought same shirt in grey in 2024 XL and it’s a hair too tight. But it’s a surf shirt so I guess that’s probably why.

Bought this during the summer to go to a water park. It’s pretty stylish and blocked out the sunburn on my body..unfortunately I didn’t put sunscreen on face and got burned pretty bad. Nonetheless, this worked and did what it intended to do.

Fit of this shirt is definitely close to the skin, not quite compression, but close. Unfortunately, I didn’t find this shirt gave me great sun protection. After coating myself in SPF 65 sunscreen, I put on my swim trunks and this shirt. Spent the day in the sun (Cozumel, MX), in and out of a pool. I reapplied sunscreen periodically to everything not covered by clothing. At the end of the day, I had bright red burns on my chest and shoulders (which were covered by the shirt but got no additional sunscreen) and nowhere else.

Good price, good quality, nice fit and looks pro! Was delivered on time for my vacation, helped tremendously against sun burn on the beach and poolside. Bought a white and blue coloured one, love them both, were used frequently, rinsed them at the end of the day, they dried fast too!

I should have probably got the xl, I am usually L but in the water gets tighter and it is a bit uncomfortable, should say this in the description.
