Amazing Product - Worthy of My First Ever Amazon Review
Incredible results, my knee pain has completely vanished. My ITBS causes swelling on the outside of my left knee after about 20 minutes of running. I initially tried wearing this band above my knee so the pressure point was applied to the outside of my left quad, but still had knee pain. After shifting the band below my knee and focusing the pressure point where the swelling was occurring, I have not felt any pain again.I can now play soccer 2-3 times a week for 60-80 minutes and the swelling has completely vanished. I have never written an Amazon review but felt the need to share this information in case anyone else has a similar issue. The only reason I gave this a 4/5 for comfort was because it does feel a little bulky when wearing it below the knee like I do. I wish the product was slightly more slim but it 100% solved my ITBS related knee pain.

Works!
My physical therapist never knew these could be used for Iliotibial Band Syndrome also! I couldn't walk without it for a while.

Improved & Upgraded
They have updated this band since all the bad reviews. It’s reinforced along the sides so no tearing. It’s very comfortable to wear. The Velcro is smaller than the band, so no scratching. It came with an extender band, 3 different size pressure inserts, and instructions. I’m so glad I bought this band in spite of the bad reviews. It has really helped my ITBS when I have to stand for long hours at work.

Much Better Than Name Brand Similar Product
I bought these to replace a name brand set I had bought earlier that were worthless and came apart after a few uses. This product is much better. It has actual stitching in it and isn't glued together. I'm a super fit, ripped to shreds, trail runner and I use these to alleviate quadriceps tendonitis and general knee pain. So I run with these on and they are holding together.

Not a Good Solution for ITBS
Like many other reviewers here, I suffer from IT Band Syndrome and was looking for relief. I was skeptical of this product from the start, but I was desperate and willing to try just about anything. To be clear, I don't have an issue with this particular brand of IT band strap. It's the concept of the strap itself that gives me doubt. What this REALLY is is a compression strap. Plain and simple. If you have joint or muscle pain anywhere on your body, a compression sleeve or strap likely exists for it.In my experience, sleeves are a much better option for use during actual activity. As your body moves, especially running, you need something that can be flexible and promotes good blood flow. Straps, on the other hand, are much riskier for use during an activity such as running because they don't provide any flexibility. As your activity level increases, certain parts of the body naturally begin to swell. And wearing a strap might feel comfortable when you first put it on, but it will inevitably become too tight during activity. At that point you're no longer wearing a compression strap; you're wearing a tourniquet. And what makes me nervous is seeing so many reviews here urging folks to make sure this strap is REALLY tight for best results. I personally think that is terrible advice because it could lead to serious issues such as poor circulation and improper blood flow. Basically exactly what you would want if you ever needed a tourniquet. But at the same time it's obvious that wearing this band too loose would have zero benefit. That's where it becomes important to find that middle ground.I find that this strap is okay for general low intensity use such as casual walking. It may also be useful for post workout recovery compression. But I would definitely not advocate for this strap to be used during high intensity exercise such as running or weight lifting. Sleeves are a much better option for those types of activities. If you DO end up using these for any reason, just be mindful of signs the band is too tight. Such as legs or feet feeling cold or tingly, feeling like you have to stop and stretch more often than usual, and just general numbness or leg fatigue. If anything feels off, it might be time to loosen the strap a bit. But please don't follow other's advice to tighten it as much as you can, because it will put you at greater risk of slowing proper blood flow, potentially causing more damage instead of repairing it.

Utter witchcraft - but they work!
I've always thought knee straps etc were a bit of a "snake oil" type product, but when my ITB problems flared up again, a few weeks before a half marathon, I tried everything to sort them. Rest, Ice, Stretches, Massage etc. All to no avail. I was down to a maximum of 1-2k before crippling knee pain came on. Out of desperation, I tried these. Strapped them up really tight, with the lump right onto the IT band and went out... 5k, pain free! 2 days later I ran a half marathon, completely pain free, and set a PB by 7 minutes. I kind of know the theory of how they work, don't know how they're so effective, but they're an absolute gamechanger. If you've got ITB issues, try them.

Velcro defective
The media could not be loaded. Very disappointed.Terrible product. The Velcro does not stick at all, the box it is packaged in is cheap. The item comes with no instructions, I had to Google and find a short and unhelpful YouTube video.Do not buy.
