So grateful to have found this set
My dog has been using ceramic bowls for many years, and these bowls have had cracks in their glazing for many years. My dog has been suffering from health issues since last year and whilst doing my best to learn about how I can help the health of my dog, I have recently learnt that ceramic bowls, especially ones with cracks in their glazing, can contaminate a pet's food and water with lead. I have felt absolutely awful realising that if my dog's bowls have been leeching lead then this would not have been helping his health, even if this hasn't caused the two congenital issues he was diagnosed with last year. I learnt that glass is a safer material and began searching for a set of bowls. My dog's bowls need to be raised as, in addition to the congenital issues that he was diagnosed with last year, he suffers from another congenital issue that causes him neck pain, a condition that had been diagnosed a few years earlier. So for a few years now, my dog has been using a set of raised ceramic bowls. I ordered several glass bowl and stand sets to try, but this was the only set that was suitable to even try, as it was the only set where the bowls were of the correct size, the stand held the bowls at the correct height, and the stand’s design was safe, and would help - rather than hinder - my dog’s access to the bowls. The other stands I received were of such poor quality and design, it wasn't just that their sizes or heights weren’t suitable, but one had a safety hazard of sharp edges around its stand, and another had bowls made of plastic instead of glass. Some other stands have some material around the bowls that forces some distance between the pet and the bowls, and so, whilst they raise and tilt the bowls to ease access, they hinder access by putting something between the dog and the bowls. In terms of appearance, I love how these bowls do not jut over the edge of the stand, that they are on a level with the stand and I love the simple but elegant design of the stand. The minimalist design functions perfectly, keeping the bowls safely and securely in place, and not moving if pushed by my small dog. This morning, I put the stand down. I wasn't sure how my dog would react to the glass bowls, whether he would be confused by their transparency. Not only did he drink his water and eat some kibble, after he'd finished his kibble he tapped his bowl, with his paw, as he usually does with his ceramic bowl, to demand more kibble or treats! I am beyond chuffed with this result! :-)Because I feel SO grateful that this stand and bowls set could help my dog, especially when every other option I tried was so far from suitable, I felt compelled to write a review for it.I have of course also left a review for the stand which I noticed had dangerous sharp edges to alert other pet owners to this observation.Thank you to those who designed and made this set, it’s perfect: the size of the bowls, the height of the bowls when on the stand, the tilt of the bowls, the quality of the set, the safety, the simple but elegant appearance, thank you SO much.My dog’s ceramic bowls had been raised but not tilted, it seems that tilted bowl stands are a new thing, or at least new to me, as I don’t remember there being that option when I looked for raised bowls for my dog a few years ago. So I hope that now having a tilt in his bowls, in addition to them having some height, will help my dog further, along with the change in bowl material.I hope that by making small steps like changing my dog's bowls I can help his health in what ways I can, in spite of the health conditions he was diagnosed with last year.

Keeps slugs off!
For years we have had issues with slugs appearing in the night and crawling into the cats’ biscuits. (Where do these slugs come from? Eew!) This seemed a bit gross for the cats so I thought I would try a dish on a thin stand, thinking slugs might not crawl up the thin frame. Success! It seems slugs don’t crawl up thin metal bars. The cats seem happy eating from the angled dish, and although it’s small, it’s not so small they’re uncomfortable getting their whiskers in it. So no more slugs in the food, and, it seems, less slugs coming into the house at night too. Everybody wins! Except the slugs, I guess.

Great height
The height is perfect for my little aging dog. This stops her having to stoop whilst eating!

Good size bowl
I bought this to go with the double bowls that I bought a couple of years ago. Nice quality.

Far too small for a medium size dog.
This is, in theory, a product which is different with its glass bowls and a base which does not tarnish in our hard water area. In fact it is very small, too small for a collie and it slopes so the water goes everywhere. It is not fit for purpose unless you have a cat or tiny dog.
