There is much to learn from this book for any level of designer.
I am a graphic designer who loves designing symbols and simplified images. I bought this book when it first came out and thoroughly enjoyed it. Two years later, I pulled it off the shelf and read it again, and enjoyed it even more.George Bokhua is a talented and skilled logo designer who has great attention to detail. In his book, he shares a wealth of knowledge about logos and is generous with his personal design methods. I particularly liked "the bone effect in logo design"—subtle but effective if you have an eye for such things. I had never heard of it before and have since used it in my work. There is much to learn from this book for any level of designer.I highly recommend it.

Must have
Great book. While I've been a designer for years, this book intrigued me and found it really helpful. Believe it's great for just starting out designers and even veteran designers like myself. Great tips and explanations

These met my needs.
This is a good basic book, but had one major error. The author lists the Mitsubishi logo as an abstract design with it's 3 diamond symbol logo. In Japanese, Mitsubishi translates to 3 Diamonds, so is not an abstract logo like the Nike swoosh and others.

Nice book
Bend following George on Dribbble for years, so naturally I got his book when it came out. It’s nice and inspiring. The one nitpick I have is that the centerfold prints should’ve been avoided, the gorgeous graphics get absolutely butchered in the middle of the fold. Nice inspiration for well versed pros, useful info for beginners.

Excellent book on branding and the design process
One of the best design books I've read–and you'd be hard-pressed to find a better practitioner of the craft. Not only is the book well written, but the work is replete with inspiring examples of carefully balanced simplicity.Well worth the cost.

Great logos, terrible book design
I purchased this book because the author’s logo work is top notch. What I wasn’t expecting is the egregious design error of not leaving enough space for the book’s inner gutter—content just disappears into it and it is highly annoying. As for the content, it’s probably best for the early learner and not so much for an experienced designer. Still, the work is nice and the book will happily occupy a space on my shelf.
