My favorite mechanical mouse traps and the only ones I use anymore.
Gold standard for easy to set, easy to clean, mousetraps that have a high kill rate (less mice stuck alive after being snapped than anything else I've tried) and a good longevity. Also very fairly priced when I bought mine.

If you need to control rodents (mice), I recommend these traps. Easy to set, effective
Our home is adjacent to a large open space, so rodents are a constant presence. I use a combination of rat traps and these new mouse traps because I've found that the bait has often been removed from the rat traps without setting them off, something that only a mouse could do. I have used MANY different kinds of rodent traps, and I would buy these mouse traps again. Most importantly, they are easy to set, and they have sufficient killing power. They are TONS better than using glue traps because that is a monstrously cruel way to kill any critter. I always reuse my traps after killing a mouse, and I clean them so they have no odor for the next use. A tip: As you'll see in my photos, I find it best to put the trap inside a plastic container (like the ones spring lettuce are sold in, with a small opening cut into one end as an entrance) or better, a 3" plastic pipe cut to fit, so that rodents have to approach the trap from the front only. I'm always concerned that the trap will be sprung prematurely by a mouse approaching if from the back. Look also for the clam shell style mouse traps with sharp jagged "teeth" which have also worked really well (but NOT for killing rats via the larger size version)

Finally a trap that works!
We live a pretty rural area so mice are just something we have to constantly keep up with, its a way of country life! I recently stocked up on some new snap traps as we have had a bit of an explosion of mice activity around our property. First I tried the Victor old fashioned wood base metal trigger - they are just set too tight...had multiple nights of all the traps licked clean of peanut butter and none of them went off! That is SO frustrating. So decided to return those and try something else, happened upon these, looked interesting and thought I would give them a try. OMG! love them! First off setting these things is awesome, so easy! No hair-pin triggers to try and hold to have it snap closed just when you think you have the little bar set under the trigger. These have a 2 bar system, so you literally just push the rear bar back until it catches in the trigger on the back, let go and its done. The front bar raises up and that's what snaps closed on the mouse, so you don't have to touch that bar at all which is awesome. When you clean out the trap of the dead rodent, you again just push the rear bar back and the mouse falls out. I always hated cleaning out the other ones cause you have to touch the bar that's holding the dead mouse, kinda gross, they carry a lot of diseases so I don't want my hands near them. These let you do the setting and cleaning with the rear bar making it so much easier and sanitary. The paddle and bait portion are equally well thought out. The mouse has to stand on the paddle to get to the little hole in the center with the bait so its pretty much guaranteed to go off if they try to get to the bait. The traditional wood base traps they can stand off to to the side and eat the bait without having to put any weight on it, so they often get the bait and don't move the paddle enough to trigger it to snap closed. All in all these are an 11 out of 10 - they work awesome! Setting, Cleaning and kill rate....best mouse traps I have ever had. Looking forward to actually catching some mice and keeping the population under control.

good mouse trap.
these are a vast improvement to the original mousetraps. They are very well made & easy to bait but difficult to take the critter out of. But they work fine.

Easy as fnck to set
Got these so I'd have no excuse for not setting traps at night. I'm often in the bush and this year I've had an unbelievable amount of rodent nests popping up overnight in my engine bay. Often, I'll be too tired to meticulously set the standard plate-spring-latch traps and will just go to bed and let the rodents have a free for all, much to my regret and dismay in the morning. These? You just push the lever down. That's it. So, one could be so tired you can't remember who you are or where you came from, but you could still set one of these traps. Extremely easy. The laziest, slowest man on earth could set a hundred of these a minute. I've seen them sell for $8 per trap in stores. $12-16 for 6 is a good deal. Not the most sensitive traps. I've had a couple dabs of peanut butter get stolen out of the bait cup, and not strong enough to trap or kill most rats though that should be expected as it's a small trap and rats are ... Well, big. Still, I've caught a good amount of mice with them and my engine bay remains rodent gnaw free.

Good quality, reset isn't easy
These kill mice perfectly. Like other similar designs, they are a bugger to reset. Once you figure them out it's not bad, but the reset is a pain in the butt more than what it should be. I got these bwcause I dont want to touch dirty traps and I end up having to do it anyway on the reset. These Victor traps are good quality but just like three other brands that have the same design, the reset stinks.

Easy to use, effective, and easy cleanup
I’ve used Victor mouse traps for a few weeks now and overall I’m happy with how they perform. Once the mice actually go for the bait, the trap does its job quickly and effectively. They’re easy to set and sensitive enough to trigger without the mouse having to be huge. I like that they’re simple and don’t require any batteries or chemicals. Cleanup is straightforward, and they feel sturdy enough to reuse a few times if needed. Overall, these traps are reliable, affordable, and do exactly what they’re supposed to when positioned correctly. I would definitely buy them again if I needed more.

They do what they should do!
Easy to use, easy to clean up without touching the rodent. I bought a set of 6 and set them all in one night and had a 50% catch rate. If I had actually done research, I probably could have gotten more, but I didn't put the bait side toward the wall, and I put all 6 really close together. Overall, very happy with these, and I feel like they were a great value.
