When heavy rains brought water in my basement entrance, this baby absorbed all of the water, saving the rest of the basement. And the absorbant gel can be used to maintain garden moisture, so it can be repurposed after it does its job!

These were very easy to use. They start out very light and folded up. You just unroll them in the spot you want and after 3-5 minutes, they puff up and immediately redirects the water. You can move them around after they puff up too. They definitely saved my house from pools of water around the edges. Only negative is that some of the little beads(?) leaked out of some of the barriers. Not sure if they're toxic or not. Also, I'm not sure if they will shrink back to their original flat size. It's been about 4 days and they're still bloated. I'm going to move them to a sunnier part of the yard to see if they will shrink faster.

After our basement took on a bit of water during Hurricane Ida I ordered a few of these dams. The dams sat in the basement for 2+ years, until the major rain storm that we experienced on the East Coast yesterday - January 9th, 2024.I rolled these out in the rain, in the dark, and in a hurry to keep water flowing down our driveway and away from the house.They worked amazingly! The dams expanded quickly, stayed in place, and did their job keeping water away from our house and basement.It's worth noting that I later read the instructions and learned that the dams may take 2-3 MONTHS to dry out for storage and re-use.
