Easy to install. Protected by a plastic film for top quality installation.

Had a door get kicked in and used this to help repair the door. I took the door off, filled the cracked door with wood glue, then clamped the crack back together. After it dried I put this over it. Everything lined up perfectly. Just make sure you take good accurate measurements and order the correct reinforcer. The only thing I would change is the kit comes with 4 screws for the corners of the reinforcer. It would be better if it included 2 threaded posts and a bolt that screwed into the posts on the otherside but the screws are definately adaquate.

Unfortunately the gauge of stainless steel was to thin and upon installation the plate itself bent were you would install the lock assembly. You cannot put any pressure on the plate when installing on 13/4 inch door stainless steel was much to weak to apply proper pressure to install correctly not worth the money because the stainless is to thin to get square on door.

Helps with split door
I installed this instead of purchasing a new door. Good choice. The door works again. If you have a large dog that enjoys pushing on doors, this would be great preventative maintenance. I recommend.
