The install is pretty easy if you're just remapping a standard button. L3/R3 or the touchpad is more advanced. I do wish they included written directions, instead they they just send you to a prerecorded video. I found a better video which clarified some additional aspects that weren't included in the extreme rate video which is disappointing. There are some weird "skip to x:xx timestamp" in their video which seem inappropriate because they have you remove sections prior, but never instruct you to put them back together. I found out you can just skip those removal parts all together depending on the button you're remapping. So again, a bit confusing. Overall, the install is still relatively straightforward and the buttons do work as advertised. The backplate fit isn't quite as snug as the original backplate, but it's really not noticable unless you compare them side by side. Not enough to dock any stars. Still a great product, and much cheaper than buying a Scuf or battle beaver. I would buy this again and feel it's a good 5 star product.

Best bang for your buck for having paddles on the PS5 controller. I already had 2 controllers and didn't want to cough up $200 for a scuf controller so I gave this a try. It comes with detailed instructions, and all the necessary tools. I spent around an hour taking my time and making sure I did everything correctly and it turned out great!! I only needed to map the X and O buttons and it was a breeze. The paddles feel very clicky and is in a great position. I highly recommend this product if you have the patience and looking to save some money on having paddles for a PS5 controller you already own.

I bought one for myself a couple of months ago. It was somewhat easy to install and worked fine after some tinkering. I bought another for my wife so she can have back paddles as well. The first one I bought my wife came in the wrong color, she didn't care too much. Installed it and there was no luck getting it to work. I'm an engineer so I know everything was connected correctly and the right cables were being used as I can read the difference between BDM-020 and BDM-010. Regardless, I took it apart and reassembled it 3 separate times for it not to work. I ordered a replacement which came in the correct color but still did not work. I got in touch with the manufacturer who was absolutely no help. They repeatedly told me I had to cut cables that did not need to be cut. I am an electrical engineer with a background of working with microchips and circus boards. So I know what I am doing when I didn't cut the ribbon cables. Yet support would not assist me in any fashion unless I were to cut the cables rendering them useless for all. When I advised them to send me new ribbon cables they sent them as slowly as possible and expected me to wait past the Amazon return date in order to try these new ribbon cables out and suck up the money if they did not. They not only wasted my time emailing back and forth for 6 days, but they never gave me a resolution that was actually helpful. The boards worked, the controllers worked if I put the original ribbon cables in either one. But I am not taking the risk of them sending me faulty ribbon cables and then not providing a product that their entire company is based upon. They have 4 products I believe with multiple different colors and they can't even get that OR customer service right. Only reason they get two stars is because the first set of paddles worked perfectly fine. I don't recommend getting this product or anything from ExtremeRate. Save your money up and get a better brand that is reliable and actually helpful when you run into problems. Update: they never resolved my issues.

Not going to lie, I bought this so I can "roll" easier in Elden Ring. Manage to easily defeat Malenia on my third attempt, the female version of Sephiroth. Installation: I sift through a bunch of tutorials until I found the best one. Not as simple as I thought, took longer than expected. Just need some patience to avoid any mishaps. Make sure to configure the buttons before you start playing. Once it's done, you'll feel like a modern-day Nikola Tesla! I'm lazy, have problems focusing, and detest tutorials. If I can do it, so can you. The Good: Nails the wood look, especially if you buy the front plates. Gives the PS4 a cool '60s vibe. The Bad: Button are way too sensitive, an ant could probably set them off. They should have placed the buttons further back, too easy to hit by accident. Verdict: Not exactly pro-level gear, but for casual gaming, it'll do the job. Look at the picture, my cat can feel the power emanating from the controller.

This is my 3rd paddle mod upgrade for ps5 controllers. The first one took a little bit to do, it’s a small process. Take your time, watch along with their YouTube video, and you can do it in 30 minutes or less. If you scare easily with DIY projects, this may not be for you, but buying a modded controller is crazy expensive, you should take the gamble that you can do it yourself. The instructions are very clear, and easy to follow. The buttons are easy to program, and offer a satisfying click when pressed. This upgrade is a game changer for FPS titles on my PC. While I have the controllers apart, I like to install the aluminum thumb sticks for a high end feel.

Was abit nervous about installing the paddles to my controller, but videos helped a lot and it works perfectly!

Installation took me 1h. Tutorial and Part-Design is very user-friendly. All parts of the original controller are unharmed after the installation, therefore the original state can always be restored. If you can assemble a Lego-Toy the basic installation is no problem for you. Keep in mind, that if you want to remap the touch-bar, you need a soldering iron. This could have been communicated more transparently. Build Quality is good, which is more than I expected. Only one sharp edge on the handle keeps it from being flawless. I bought this for 32€, therefore a 5-star rating is in order. So far I cannot comment on the long-term experience, as I only just installed and tested the kit once. Nevertheless the experience I had exceeded my expectation by far and led me to already write this review. Very good Product! ... so far ;)
