The original is on the left and these are on the right. They do creat a seal on the cooler but they feel lighter and cheaper than the originals. I got them as spares so not a big deal for me. The good thing is you get 2 for the price so even if 1 breaks then you still have another.

During a nine day power outage last February our Yeti literally saved all our frozen meats, yet after we returned all the meats to the freezers after the power came back on, I removed one plug to let the melted ice out. I put the plug into a ziplock baggie with a neon pink 3x5” note card announcing “DO NOT LOSE THIS YETI PLUG.” I put it on a shelf in our utility room. A week later, it was gone. I’ve been fuming for months now, but all is well since these replacement plugs arrived today. I immediately ran outside, screwed it into the Yeti, and it fits perfectly!!!!!!I’ve already stored the second replacement plug in my desk drawer next to my wallet. I will check to confirm that it’s still in the drawer at least daily. I know for a fact that since there’s just two of us here… well, my husband moved that missing plug off the shelf for some unknown reason. I’m aware that I have a reputation for carrying grudges around with me for years, yet it’s better then starting a huge argument over who moved the old missing plug in the first place.These Yeti-compatible plugs fit perfectly, they’ve prevented a nasty fight, and the infamous missing plug with the neon pink index card will probably magically appear out of nowhere now. FIVE STARS for these plugs, I’ll only use these since Yeti original plugs apparently have a habit of disappearing for no reason.

During the fall my dogs are always licking the drain plug for run off while wet aging venison. They tend to unplug it and it can disappear. I got these as spare plugs and they fit perfectly so I never have to worry about losing a plug and not being able to maintain a constant internal temperature when I desire. I like that it comes in a two pack. It makes me wish the cooler I invested so much in provided spares up front.

I got these to replace the drain plug on my older Yeti Roadie. It fits perfect and looks great. The original one still works but was discolored and looked gross. Now I know you need to remove the plug for storage!
