Smaller than most
This Gabrel is smaller then most, that doesn't mean it will not work. I ordered it for the fall for hinting season. It does come with some pretty cool assesories.

I use them to hang bee swarm boxes in trees
I bought these to be a much safer and easy way to hang and lower my honey bee swarm traps. Overall worked fantastic for the price.I don’t use the spreader bars just the pulley system.They are a pain to get set up and the rope is junk as others have said but I can always replace the rope. The only real annoying thing is you have to keep tension in the bottom pulley or the rope goes all slack and gets tangled. Not the end of the world for the price which is much cheaper than buying the individual prices.

Got the job done
Used this to mount a 75” TV 10ft off the ground. Got the job done, but there is a ton of friction in the pulley…made it unnecessarily hard to pull the item up

Not exactly what I thought I was getting
I thought this was a 1 piece welded design, I was a little disappointed that it folds in the middle but it's nothing I can't fix with my welding machine

Needs a better rope. Otherwise it's decent
We tried the old golf ball trick to get the skin off. The rope snapped. It's good but do not stress the rope unnecessarily. It's only good for maybe 200 lbs of pressure in my opinion. I would buy again. I keep it in my car to clean on sight so I don't need to tote guts home.

Welded by 6 year old with no training
Weld broke on arm during first hour of first use. Will grind down and weld myself. The components make it worth the money…but inspect before and during use

I have many like this
This is junk , under engineered , very squeaky and the rope lock doesn’t work. either you have to replace the rope they sent with a larger diameter or collapse the rope lock width, I purchased a larger rope added $10 to the price plus 2 hours to get and redo the mechanism just spend $10-$20 more and get a better one
