Needed to adapt to the dvi of a monitor without hdmi
Works well for me in this application. I use it with a raspberry pi 5.

WORKED AS ADVERTIZED
Used this adapter to connect an older Apple 30" high-def monitor to a new Windows laptop. Worked perfectly.

I got the WRONG PART LOL
I can’t say much about how it works because I needed a male piece and accidentally got the female piece. I can say it is Great quality and doesn’t look like it’ll break easily so that’s a plus. I’m sad I got the wrong part, but I didn’t technically need the male piece either. I’ll probably just stick with my hdmi chord for now

I lucked into a Wacom Cintiq, which I needed to mate with a Panasonic ToughBook. Easiest for me to go through the HDMI port.In the immortal words of Shakespeare, "Bingo!"

Does exactly what it needs to do - and I forgot I was using it!
Like the title says, this works great. Simple to install, and then you forget it's even there, which is exactly what you want.

Perfect Adapter
Works great with my video card form my computer. No issues great picture on my monitor.

didnt work
attached to hdmi out of pc and connected to my dvi monitor and didnt work

Does not work with my 30" Apple Cinema Display.
I am grateful there is such an adapter but although my MacBook Pro "Sees" the display, I cannot get a picture. I also tried my M1 Mac Mini with similar results. I guess I need to search for a Mac specific adapter.
