Great Drive
Fantastic drive to update my 320 GB SSD. Works flawlessly with my Dell G3 laptop. No issues installing windows would not hesitate to buy again. I highly recommend this excellent drive that is very fairly priced.

SSD failed after 1.5 years, but support replaced it no questions asked
Timetec will be my first choice for inexpensive storage/RAM from now on.I purchased this SATA SSD because i was looking for something inexpensive/low capacity to run in my RPI for Homeassistant OS. Installed this shortly after purchasing it in September of 2023. It worked without issue until a couple weeks ago when i experienced storage failure. I attempted to re-install the OS, but was unable to. Based on experience it looked to me like the SSD had gone into read only mode, which is common with flash storage failure. I emailed support since it was within the 3 year warranty they offer and they promptly provided me with a shipping label to return the failed SSD. After receipt, they had my replacement shipped out that same day and when it arrived i was up and running again (was able to restore from the most recent backup no issues). Is it ideal that the SSD failed? No. However, my RPI is running 24/7 and has data being pretty much constantly written to it, so i am not all that surprised. Support was fantastic (shout out to Mark) and they replaced my drive no questions asked. I will definitely be purchasing more products from Timetec in the future.

Good option at this price point...
I have an older HP SFF desktop that I can't seem to part with, kind of like family now :)The existing M.2 SSD was failing, kept getting the blue screen of death and after troubleshooting, found SSD going bad. Bought the Timetec 512GB SSD as replacement based on reviews and price.Used CloneZilla to make copy of old SSD while still alive and cloned my Windows 10 setup to the Timetec 512GB SSD. Write time was pretty good during the cloning process.Doing a benchmark test on the Timetec 512GB SSD, the results were not bad, but my older HP desktop could be issue with speed - hard to say.Botton line, good SSD and would recommend.

The SSD destroyed my OS among other things.
I bought this cheap ssd for my first PC build ever thinking it would be OK to cheap out on atleast one component as everything else on my pc was expensive but GOD WAS THIS A MISTAKE. (I have used this ssd for approximately one year) First issue I had with this my PC was random heat spikes from the cpu which led me to believe the cpu was just a lemon but I stuck with it anyway cause it wasn’t a big deal. SECOND my sound setting would randomly jump up and down in games and in movies, sometimes even just looking at the actual sound setting you could watch all of them jump from 70-100% sound like a ghost was messing with me. Again I ignored this as I didn’t want to spend another 300$ on another CPU.THIRD issue I had with this PC my ICUE program would not run properly and neither would my LCONNECT software, fan lighting was a horrible experience so I was convinced it was the software.FOURTH ISSUE startup turned into 1-2 minute long start ups and I was also created with a “repairing drive c, press any button to cancel this” I had no clue what that ment, everytime I went to download stuff onto the drive it was working fine so I didn’t think it needed any type of repair.FIFTH AND FINAL PROBLEM: I could no longer install or delete anything onto the drive as once I restarted the pc everything would magically reset to its previous settings (example: I deleted iCUE, then reset my pc and boom it magically reappeared. I installed valorant then reset pc then boom it magically vanished. I was so frustrated as I thought this was some type of critical hardware failure, I couldn’t even play video games as after around an hour the whole pc would just crash. Finally I decided to try to fix the issue by starting with a new much more expensive name brand ssd and a fresh install of windows. My PC is now running faster then ever, sound bugs fixed, ICUE programs and lian li software running like a dream, do random heat spikes on my cpu no random crashes on my PC. This ssd has been a curse on me for over a year and because of it I almost spend another 300-400$ on components that I didnt need. (I know what your thinking, I must have downloaded a bunch of malware or things of that nature on the ssd, WRONG this pc and this ssd were used for Video games ONLY unless steam and riot games gave me a virus which I highly doubt) Do yourself a favor and spend extra cash on a name brand ssd unless you really don’t care about your pc and the information on it. Im finally free from this curse of an ssd. If I could give 0 stars I would.
