Q: Is this a 3 pack? the msrp for this in $99

Oh course not, at $220 for a $99 device, this is obviously just another greedy scalper taking advantage of the silicon shortage and lockdown logistics slow down, trying to bend us over for profit. Refuse to buy from people like this.

Q: What's the difference between this unit and the unifi 6 ubiquiti sells on their website for $99? (i ask because amzn is generally lower than msrp)

Likely identical, however, the unit sold directly by Ubiquiti: 1. Is the correct price ($99) 2. Has a warranty. I'm pretty sure the scalpers on here are not authorized resellers, and if I'm not mistaken, that means the Ubiquiti warranty is void. 3. Is in short supply, has been "sold out" more often than not since release. Hence, scalpers emerge, buy as many as they can when they briefly come into stock, and sell on Amazon for ~ 120% profit. My advise: go on the Ubiquiti website and sign up for a "back in stock email alert". You'll be waiting, possibly weeks, but better than supporting these shameless profiteers.

Q: Does this have to be ceiling mounted? or can it be mounted on a table etc. in a home?

Whatever you think would be your best coverage. Mine is mounted on the wall near ceiling and points out over the room Most people mount on ceiling and point downward for maximum coverage but my setup I get the room and some outdoor coverage from this point But yes you can mount anywhere you feel would be your best coverage for your house or room

You are not forced to use cloud based management. You can manage it locally. I.e. no subscription cost
