Work well
These filters do their job well. A little on the spendy side for a disposable filter but it’s a small market so I get it.

Good for filtering cooking oil
I use these to filter the cornmeal/flour/etc. out of my frying oil after I fry fish. The oil needs to be warm, but these do a good job of cleaning the oil. Simply place one in the bottom of a medium screen. It allows me to reuse the oil over and over. If you keep the impurities filtered out of your oil, it will last a long time.

I use these to filter french press coffee
I became aware that french press coffee has substances that cause an increase in cholesterol, because it is unfiltered. My husband and I are addicted to French Press coffee. I tried adding a disc coffee filter to the press but it was useless and there were the same amount of oils and residues in the coffee when I poured it through a cone filter. I think the problem was that adding the extra filter, just caused the coffee to press around the filter on the sides, taking the path of least resistance. So I tried these, leaving the wide diameter unchanged and just making a hole in the middle to fit on the press. This caused the excess milk filter to curl around the sides of the press and filter the coffee that would have gone around the sides. It doesn't take out 100% of the oils and residues but it reduces them significantly. The coffee is slightly less rich than the unfiltered coffee, but still much more tastier than that done with our drip coffee maker.
