I got this to re-knot some pearls for a friend. The color is lovely (matched the pearls perfectly!) and the thread is wonderfully soft and easy to work with. It does fray a little if you tighten the knots with tweezers, but it never broke.

For pearls, you want silk. Light pink a popular color. Make sure you know what size you will need for the opening size of the pearls you have to restring. Also get the right length.
