Lightweight, vibrant, and long-lasting tint!I tried the Etude House Dear Darling Water Tint in Cherry Ade, and I really liked it. The watery formula does not suit for my pigmented lips, so I use it for my cheeks and is not sticky at all but leaves a color stains on your fingers if your using fingers. The color is vibrant and gives a fresh, natural “just-bitten” look. It’s buildable, so I can go from a subtle tint to a more intense shade easily. The tint lasts for several hours and fades evenly without leaving harsh patches. It’s comfortable to wear, though I make sure my lips are exfoliated beforehand since it can highlight dry spots. The applicator is precise and easy to use. Overall, great value for the price! Perfect for everyday wear if you want a pop of natural color

I’ve been using lipstains forever and I’ve tried most of the big pricey name brands, drug store brands, and yea, maybe I DID try using a red sharpie and several other brands of permanent marker around the house! SO WHAT? It’s not like I eventually bought ink for tattoos and have been slowly doing my own stick n poke lip color, building my ideal shape and blushing over the last several months, pffffttttt.Back to the point, these are the absolute best lip stains, hands down. They last the longest, the color is buildable, smells and tastes good. Also, they’re not super expensive. It’s a natural finish but you can mattify the color with some setting powder. The setting powder makes it last longer and transfer less easily, too. It’s not sticky, it’s very forgiving and still looks cute if you’re new to makeup. If I find something better, I will absolutely be as obnoxious as possible about it.Until that day comes, this is it. These are the best on the market.

I was expecting a warm, orangey-red for summer, but this leans much more orange than red.That said, I love the thin, lightweight texture. Once it dries down, you can’t feel it at all — it wears like a true stain. Just a heads-up: it can cling unevenly to dry patches, so exfoliating or moisturizing beforehand helps.Overall, it’s a fun shade, but I still prefer their classic red for everyday wear.

I’ve been searching the internet and every beauty store within a 20 mile radius of makeup that lasts as long as it claims to despite me being a sweaty and makeout-loving person. This lip tint is the most pigmented and long-lasting one I’ve ever encountered. I spread it with my fingers, and even after washing my hands with soap and drying them with a towel, my fingertips are still visibly stained.I bought the cherry color and it’s beautiful on darker skin like mine. Because it is so effective, you don’t need to apply more than once or twice. The watery texture is perfect, as well, if you’re worried about it being oily or glossy.They have a customer for life out of me.

I gave this 3 stars because it does exactly what it claims. It’s a beautiful, cherry red stain and can be built…BUT…if you have ANY type of fine lines/scarring around your mouth (like me), it’s going to VERY quickly bleed into every single one of them, and it’s not subtle (it’s a bright red stain, obvi), especially on my pale skin. This stuff is the viscosity of water, hence the name, so any tiny error in application with this is going to leave you looking like you got punched in the mouth. If you accidentally drip this on ANYTHING (remember, this is a WATER tint, it’s easy to lose a drop), it’s going to wreck your day. Also, if you don’t take it off your face with some type of exfoliant or cleansing balm IMMEDIATELY, OMG does it stain..my mouth looks like a tributary system on a map, my TEETH are stained red (that may be my error, but still..), and it’s not cute. I didn’t get to it fast enough before it dried (which takes a whole 10 seconds so keep that cleanser handy if you try this!) so I’m going to have to try a chemical exfoliator after I re-whiten my teeth. It gets worse. After I removed as much as possible, I tried again with a lip liner (terrible idea), as well as using an oil blend around my lips, and it still bled right through and made it look like there was a whole crime scene on my face. It is the absolute worst feathering and teeth staining cosmetic product I’ve ever used. BUT WAIT! If you DON’T have fine lines around your mouth and you’re better at applying it than I was (meaning you don’t try to purse your lips out of habit w/lip products, I would just keep your lips parted until it dries to be safe), this is a really beautiful color, and I think it would be super flattering on any skin tone that takes a blue-based red well, and it definitely stays put. I think if this was in a more viscous base like polybutene, anyone could use it. I’m tempted to try it, but I don’t think I want to make this worse than it is. I would include photos, but I’m too old to lose any more dignity. I already look like I’ve been punched by a cherry popsicle and lost. This one is a hard pass for me, and I wouldn’t recommend this if you have a single fine line/scar in your vermillion border. I will stick with my ELF glossy lip stain, and that’s exactly what I’d recommend in place of this. Proceed with extreme caution, and keep that cleansing balm handy!!

I really like this water tint! The Cherry Ade shade gives the perfect natural flush to my lips. It’s lightweight, buildable, and looks super fresh. It feels like nothing on the lips and adds just the right pop of color.It also layers well if you want a bolder look, and the staying power is great for the price. Super cute, easy to use, and perfect for everyday wear. I’ll definitely be trying more shades!

If you’re looking for tint WATER not lipstick, this is for you. As described it’s WATER and it will stained your lips. I use it for my cheeks as blush too. Love this thing! I’ve ordered it monthly. Here’s what this does, have you ever eaten a popsicle and your lips get stained in certain areas like the crevices? And it just gives this cute natural look? Well, that’s exactly what this water does.
