These hubs are compatible with Windows, Linux, Macs and most importantly with every single board computer project we've attempted with our students. This is the same hub included in our "BacchaBox Complete Pi Accessory Kit" and "BacchaBox Pi USB Accessory Kit" products. While most single board computers now come with 4 USB ports they are usually all jammed together and tough to work with. We usually put our lower USB devices (mouse and keyboard) on the hub. You'll also be surprised what a middle school student will stick in a USB port. When a student inevitable destroys a USB port if it's on a $3 hub I can throw in the trash without a missing a beat.
