This stand does not disappoint, durable and not to heavy

I’ve had my snare stand for about two weeks now .. so relieved to have a well made standEven though I gave it 5 stars to break down the Sn basket angle is a little questionable .. in other words it will not let you angle down parallel to the stand .. it has to be upward vs downward .. with a small hardware bag you have to break it down into 2 pieces .. other wise , very durable construction ...

Great stand! I bought this to hold my 12-inch practice pad. As is, the stand did not wrap firmly around the 12-inch pad, but after reading the reviews on here, I found if you reverse this silver adjustment nut, it will go up high enough to push the 3 arms to wrap firmly around smaller drums or pads. Super easy fix. I own several DW stands & other hardware, I can’t say enough good things about their hardware. Highly recommend.

I bought this to hold my 12" Evans RealFeel Practice pad, and was at first disappointed to find that it couldn't be be adjusted small enough to grip it. After looking at the nut/bolt mechanism, I decided that adding a few thick washers would solve the problem. After a visit to the hardware store, I had what I needed. But as I took off the large nut that adjusts/tightens the snare holders, I realized that by REVERSING the nut, it would then tighten up enough without having to use the washers. So problem solved. Flip the nut if it doesn't adjust small enough for your snare, pad, tom, etc. Overall, a solid snare drum stand, certainly road-worthy. The one thing I don't like is the L-shaped tightener for the snare angle adjustment. I get the advantage of that design, but it's plastic and looks like it could break, and a chrome wingnut would have been fine. So 4 stars instead of 5 for that crucial plastic part.

This is my go to stand for acoustic Drum Kit. Here's why:It has a very small footprint so will fit well if you are tight for space.It's lowest height adjustment is lower than most which is great if you set up low (I do) or want to use a taller snare.Large nut for adjusting basket and the handle for quick adjustments to tilt are easy to work "blind" from above while sitting on throne.Also nut can be reversed for smaller drums.Plus I love the medium weight. It's rock solid but lighter than the heaviest stands so easier to travel with.Lastly, once you get it dialed in, it can be locked down with a key so you can preserve the height setting between gigs.Made by DW, it's bound to last.

Very good snare stand. If you're using this to hold a practice pad that is 12 inches or smaller, be sure to flip the nut. I have added a picture of the nut you need to reverse if you're using a practice pad.

I originally bought the 7000 series snare stand but the tilter doesn't allow for playing the drum level or at a very slight angle. As I do, and I waited too long to return it, I've scrapped it and bought this one.This one is cheaper, same size tubing, MUCH better tilting assembly and if you need it double braced.I'm glad I found it!

Dw makes a great product. It's very heavy duty.I bought 2 of them.one for my snare and one for my 14 inch floor tom.
