The video disc did not play, the written instructions were for a Different model.The metal ring actually makes it more difficult to throw for a 5 foot net. Ring worksBest for smaller nets. Would buy a conventional casting net rather than this model

We bought a second one after many years of using the first one.

Like many things in life, size matters. The four foot model of this will work with most anyone. If you are close to six foot then you can do the five-foot net. Anyone that is seven feet plus can probably manage the six foot net with the casting method this net is made for. The problem with smaller size is a smaller radius catches far fewer fish. I have finally managed to learn to cast a traditional net and would never consider using a smaller size than six. Another thing annoying about this net is that the packaging makes it a pain getting this thing cut loose without damaging net so you can even try it out.

this is one of the best nets i have ever had. true that the radius is limited and you have to do a funny spinning dance when you throw it,, but it opens EVERY SINGLE TIME.. takes 2 min to master.i am on my thrid net already (lost the first 2 to rocks) and loving this one as much as the first 2.one complaint though. whatzup with the plastic weights? i miss the small lead weights. and when the net is gone, i can still salvage the lead. with these plastic looking non-lead weights, once the net is gone, i have to just throw the whole thing away

This is the best cast net I've ever owned in my 56 years of fishing. you almost can't make this net not open 100%. wonderful product, I just purchased my third one today. I'm Robyn's father ,Ron
