Plastic - yes. Breakable - no.
Good luck defeating the security intent of this thing. Anyone complaining about the material used should try destroying it or getting through a door it’s blocking. I gave it 4 stars due to the instructions on the back being poorly done and the fact that I don’t like the adhesion strip thing (not necessary on the bottom frame of a patio door). The bar was too long as a complete set so I was able to use one of the sides for a bathroom window.

Fantastic Product!
The Lock-It Block-It bars are excellent!! They were definitely easy and fast to install, even for this 72-year-old female. My windows are now securely closed and locked unless I don't want them to be. I have one installed in a garage window, and two in downstairs windows that are in a dark and poorly light area at night. I feel so much more secure, and I highly recommend them!!!

Not white as described
Purchased for added security, not looks… BUT, they are definitely not white as described. Would’ve rated higher if they didn’t look almond colored from the 80’s. Would’ve sent back but non- Prime purchase.

Velcro keeps in place so window can be opened at top or bottom but just enough that no one can get inside. Super easy 30 second install

Works perfectly fine, was surprised to see how strong the tape was..I honestly did not expect it to hold up but it did ! Kept my windows locked

Lock it block it xl
The media could not be loaded. You guys saying this is bad are all CRAZY. I live in NYC , i have a window by fire escape thats has the lock broken . The super was super to come fix and NEVER did .! This " lock it block it" ! has given total peace of mind!!! BuyIt for burglars , small kids . Buy it !! If it was tad bit more sturdy this would be a 5! I think it should have been All metal !

Wonderfully made and secures perfectly
This is a well made “does what it says” safety item for your windows. It doesn’t slide out of place like several others I tried, doesn’t have a meticulous measurement requirement like others I’ve tried. It’s easy to install, easy to use and gives peace of mind the window won’t move past you set it. I highly recommend this
