For brewed ground coffee drinkers, buy it with out thinking
This is one of the best products I got from Amazon. First of all its Swiss-Design and Made in Portugal which is really great, it is rare to find such products made in Europe. Secondly, it the plastic doesn't absorb heat so you you can hold it fine even without the rubber grip that is built in to avoid getting your hand burnt. I am the type of person that drinks 2 cups of ground brewed black coffee, so I liked the fact that I can have my coffee prepared in my bag and when ever I want to drink it, I will just pour some hot water and Taa-Daaah, the coffee is ready. Something that I haven't anticipated is that the coffee stays hot for very long so you can open the lid and let the coffee cool down a bit, and when it reaches the temperature you want it to be, just close the lid and enjoy. Keep in mind that this will save you the bucks you were going to spend at starbucks and it will save you the time of washing a cup instead of a cup and a French-press. This is the benefit of a 2in1 product. Quality-wise, this product is uncomparable, its made of high quality durable plastic and on my case, I will just use it for coffee, so I won't need to worry about stains, washing it with water only will just be fine. Price wise, the Quality to price ratio is extraordinary, I never expected this product to be what it is for a such a low cost. Overall this is among the top deals you can find in amazon, and this is a high quality brand that it is sold in Starbucks ( at a Higher price of course)..

Perfect - But Here's What You Need to Know!
This Bodum French press travel tumbler is pretty much perfect, but here is what you need to know to not get frustrated with it, and not think that it's defective. Bodum is *the* name in French presses and other coffee and tea ware, so it's not surprising that this French press travel mug is as good as it is, but I still see reviews where people are frustrated, and rating it poorly, when really the issue is expectations that don't match up with how a French press works. The three important things that you need to know are: 1. After putting in the coffee and the hot water (in that order) *immediately* screw on the cap, making sure that the plunging disk is *all the way at the top* (i.e. the plunger handle is sticking as far out of the top of the cap as it can). 2. When the brewing time is up, press down *slooowly and evenly* on the plunger, until it can't go any further down. 3. (And this is the most common complaint I'm seeing in reviews, causing poor reviews when actually the thing is working as it is supposed to) There is *supposed* to be an inch or so of coffee at the bottom that you *can't get to* - that is where the *grounds* are! That is how *all* French presses work! They don't press all of the water out of the bottom leaving only dry grounds (how could they, and even if they could, that would make your coffee bitter as all get-out) - there will always be liquid in that section too. About the only thing with which I could possibly find to 'fault' this French press travel cup is that if you tip your head all the way back trying to get the very last bit of coffee, a few coffee grounds may escape from below the plunging disk and make it into your mouth. But I figure that's what I get for living on the edge and asking the cup to not behave like, you know, a French press.

It is a good French press
It is a good French press. I use it every day in the microwave, and now, after 5 months, it is a little cracked. If you will use in the microwave I recommend a glass French Press, but, is is really nice be able to have your coffee in the press when you are late.

Great Travel Alternative for Cold Brew Coffe overnight; just enough for one day, so no refrigeration needed
I cold brew coffee 24 hrs at room temperature and use Toddy system at home, but I wanted a more compact system for travel. I tested the Takeya System and Bodum Insulated Plastic Travel French Press. For travel when I do not have access to a refrigerator, I prefer a Bodum -- it brews just enough coffee concentrate overnight for one day, based on my typical consumption, so nothing to store. I used 1/2 C ground coffee in the Bodum Travel French Press, filled water to the top of the wide colored band on the outside, sealed top, shook, and left to brew to next morning, when I used the French Press to push grounds to bottom and leave concentrate. I diluted Bodum concentrate 50/50 with hot water, yielding about 24 oz. of coffee to drink. The Takeya system worked well and made enough concentrate for 2-3 days. It would be a good travel alternative to Toddy or Bodum. I will continue to use Toddy brewing at home because it produces a larger quantity of a more concentrated brew. One Toddy batch lasts me a week. The Takeya and Bodum brewing systems outputs are more dilute than Toddy. I dilute 1 part Toddy concentrate with 3 or 4 parts water and I dilute Takeya and Bodum cold brewed concentrate 50/50 with water. I like the Takeya carafe so much that I plan to use instead of the Toddy carafe at home. I like the top that screws tight to preserve flavor and unscrews 1/2 turn to pour the concentrate. Takeya Carafe capacity will handle full Toddy brewing output. Takeya carafe has a smaller diameter than Toddy carafe, but the Toddy brewing chamber fits comfortably over the top to drain concentrate into Takeya carafe. All systems allow me to brew 50/50 regular/decaf coffee.
