Looks like the box for BACK wraps contains 10 and the box for NECK wraps contains 9.

Q: Can this be worn while asleep?

Yes, but should be worn over pj's as it might burn the skin. There is a warning on the package. User in this household does regularly, but each person is different.

Q: I'd like to know how far from now is the expiration date?

I purchased these on 5/19 and the expiration date is 10/21. But I pay little attention to expiration dates, I have used them WAY out of date with complete success.
