It works!
This nightlight is so pretty but at first I didn’t think it worked since it didn’t turn on! I plugged it in during daylight, and it has a sensor to automatically turn off during daylight! When I plugged it in the dark closet it worked wonderfully. I have it to my nephew (5 years old) and he is obsessed

Great gift!
I bought this as a backhanded gift for a guy I was dating at the time. He thinks he's the next Elon Musk and absolutely brilliant (he's not). He started as an engineering major but failed out of the program but decided he was going to end up as an astronaut so I thought this would be the perfect gift for him to fail at too. Also, He has terrible night vision so he has literally never seen the stars. He thought pictures of the night sky were high exposure pictures only until I burst his bubble. So I figured a picture of the solar system on his ceiling at night would be the perfect display of what he sees above him but will never reach. Or see in real life. I was ready to break up with him after a few weeks of dating but we were approaching Christmas, so we stayed together and I bought him a gift. However, I just couldn't take it anymore and broke up with him before we exchanged gifts so here we are where I got to keep a beautiful night light! I now use it in my bathroom so my cat can see where she is going at night to get to her box. The display is quite defined and the blue globe glows, illuminating the room for easy visuals in the dark. Would be great for a kid who is afraid of the dark. Or a bad boyfriend who has never seen the stars, failed at being an engineer, but thinks he's going to be an astronaut.

Perfect!
I need a nightlight to sleep at 62 years old. I brought my old one to my daughter’s house in Tennessee from Boston and I left it there by mistake after my visit. I was heartbroken. So I bought another one. It’s a tad bit different, but it does the job. It’s sturdy and colors light up the corner of my bedroom, which is exactly what I want. Who says you’re still can’t be a kid and be an old lady at the same time?

Fun nightlight for kids who love space, provides decent illumination, but needs manual on/off switch
As other reviewers comment, it's unfortunate that the size of the projection on the ceiling is not larger. However, other than that, it is performing great as a nightlight for my daughter thus far. She has quite the infatuation with space and all things space related these days, so this was an obvious choice to help her with her fear of sleeping in total darkness, and should help save money for me over her previous tendency to get up and turn her light on and leave it on all night. Not only does the projection on the ceiling add light to the room, but the blue ball itself glows quite nicely to illuminate the room.I haven't had this long enough to speak to the longevity of the projection printing as others have stated them being prone to fading. If that does happen, I will come back and update my review. My only negative is that there is no way to turn the nightlight off. So, it is always on when the light in the room is off (it uses a photosensitive switch to automatically turn on and off as needed) unless you go to the trouble unplug it from the wall, or happen to have a free, optimally located switched outlet to use it with. I have considered attaching an inline timer to make it have power only during nighttime hours, but that hardly seemed worth it for the cost of the nightlight its minuscule power requirements.

Solid 3.5 in the end
The light is cool, the photo is in pitch black home in the hallway. I wish it was brighter, if there is any light it blows it out. Most outlets are lower to the ground and the light doesn’t travel well the higher it gets. The design comes out and you can see the color change.

Unique Fun and Relaxing
I ordered both the Northern Lights and the Space Nebula. I like the Space Nebula a bit better but simply because Northern Lights has more red in in it. Perfect for my bathroom but the other has more blues and greens which I like for other rooms. I liked it so much I ordered 2 more. I was a bit hesitant to order based on some of the not so great reviews but so glad I did. It’s a fun light. For $9.50 I wasn’t expecting a realistic light show. It’s relaxing to watch the colors slowly change on the ceiling as you lay in bed. Not too bright to keep you awake but enough in the bathroom that you don’t have to turn on overhead light to use the restroom and wash your hands. I’m a Grandmother of 5 so I can say good for all ages! Bah humbug to the negative reviews. It’s interesting and entertaining! If you’re looking for something “authentic” you’re going to have to have to visit a Planetarium or invest much more money. If you’re looking for an unique and fun night light this is perfect.

Son loves this!
My son has a star machine but it shuts off randomly in the night. He was waking us up every night to turn it back on, well no more! He loves this thing and its super easy to travel with it as well.

Great sleep aid gives room a relaxing atmosphere.
I am an young adult with terrible insomnia due to some medical problems and medication. When I say this is the cheapest sleep aid I've found and the most awesome nightlight I've ever had, you better believe I've tried a lot of things. Lately I've used this nightlight to pair with my "sleep sounds" music I play at night to help me fall asleep, and it's really helped. I had my doubts that this tiny cheap looking light could do that much but it really changes the whole atmosphere of the room when it gets dark and you see the changing colors dancing around the walls and ceiling. The lights are relaxing and mesmerizing and I find that when I match my breathing to the light cycle I've been able to trick my brain into falling asleep!! Bonus points because my cat seems pretty entranced too whenever it comes on. If you're in the comments debating It's so worth it.
