PeopleWork: The Human Touch in Workplace Safety Paperback – October 20, 2016

Great book with great insight on the psychological part of safety in which I think is the most important. I am a huge fan of Kevin Burns and what he stands for. I never understood how I was able to take an organization from 15 OSHA recordables in 8 months to 0 in a year in a half until I began reading his book. It all came together and I realized I was doing it naturally. This allows me to evolve as a professional and draw a blueprint on how to improve the next program.

Kevin Burns did a great job of bringing the need for safety from the policy manual to the basics of human necessity. I highly recommend this book.

Interesting reading. Makes you think outside the box.

The reason we don't find safety a compelling topic in our workplace is because we have not made it a personal issue and Kevin Burns emphasizes shifting the focus from following rules to making safety a personal value because frankly, our loved ones are counting on us to be with them for as long as possible. A good read.

If you still think Safety Must have Top Management support, that’s old thinking. If you want to make a difference in your companies safety performance, get this book!
