CCENT/CCNA ICND 1 100-105 Official Cert Guide

Under normal circumstances you'd probably try to avoid a bloke called Wendel, you'd need an A record to ensure your clients could resolve his name. But thankfully he's a world class IP-helper and has written a bible for ICND1. Make sure you understand RIP, Securing/hardening routing devices (configuring local security), DHCP configuration, ACL's and NAT/PAT. This book has great straightforward examples and, from a 2nd line engineer with basic knowledge of networking, I now understand how the Internet works, which was something of a childhood curiosity for me.Enjoy!

Excellent book with in-depth explanations but completely let down by the cd. The practice tests on my cd do not work, and the network simulator is for 200-105 and not 100-105. I found a working version of the practice tests at learningnetwork.cisco.com/thread/103838. Definitely buy this book however get the software issues sorted before you start reading because I found it extremely frustrating on both occasions when at the end of Chapters 1 and 6 I found I couldn't do any practice because the software just wasn't there.

The DVD sleeve did not have the activation code sleeve. Moreover the DVD. Got the section where I had to use the DVD after 1month. I dont see any contents in the DVD. All contents were deleted except for the pdf files.Book is useless without a proper DVD for test lab.

Just what I needed, bigger than I expected as I was going to take on holiday with me. Also has a code included which gives access to a 1000 question ICND1 exam simulator which is excellent.

Top quality as always from Cisco Press, get this if you are doing your certs or get the iBooks version.
