The Hantek software and drivers do not work for this scope
I bought this model (DSO1202B) for general portable use on a full motion flight simulator platform and other areas around my workspace. It is good for that, the multimeter function is good, the scope does seem to pick up a lot of RF noise in the display in the mV range, but not enough to be a problem for general scope use jobs. The original battery crapped out on me within a month of purchase and I had to buy a new one ($75.00) and that really was a long time arriving. Slow boat from China and the guy only had one oar in the water I guess?? The new battery seems to perform well and I've had no issues with it.This is a general use oscilloscope, it functions well enough but if you're doing lab quality work, or something beyond CAT II I would look at a Fluke instead. The price on this was much lower than a Fluke so ok, I get it. You get what you pay for. I use it for my ham radio projects as well and fine it quite handy so for the price its ok. If you could find a Fluke (used??) for the price then buy it instead; otherwise this is a good compromise. The users manual is excellent once you get past the occasional Chinese to English translation logic issues and covers a lot of information about what this scope can do. Would I buy it again? No, I'd save my shekels and get a Fluke of equal performance level or higher, that is, 2 channel (minimum) and 200 Mhz bandwidth. But for an all around tool in the portable domain its ok. You can forget running it through your computer as the included software and drivers are useless .... but you can save files in the scope on a USD drive and carry them over to your computer.I expected more and got far less, support after the sale is in the pits ... take the battery for example, in less than a month the original burned up .. literally got very hot and died ... no damage to the scope but no warranty replacement either so I bought a new one. The new one seems ok now a year later so I guess it was just the lock of chance that was in play here.
