Double filter works. And I cleaned the filter with a garden hose and that worked great. The steel canister lets you suck up hot items without too much worry. (need to empty right after). Even though the hose is plastic, the coals don't stay long enough to burn the plastic. I use on my fire place so I need to gather the large pieces first. Use this for the ash so I can clean the fireplace before going to bed.The battery last fairly long and make this very portable. I also use it for my car.

I waited about 4 months for these to be restocked and I finally was able to order it, it's a great vacuum its got a good battery performance with lots of power and suction it is pretty quite on the noise level, the filter is small and has a dust filter to protect it, I do wish I could have gotten it before the restock when it was only $125. It's very portable being battery powered.The bad mine makes a very high pitched squeal like the motors clogged if I run it too long I have removed the filter and the noise goes away which tells me that it clogs easily, I only use this on my Green Mountain Grills Peak Prime smoker so time will tell if the value for the money is there and if it lasts, I do wish I would have gotten the one on Amazon that takes Dewalt 20v batteries vs the brand pellet head uses

Love having this for our woodstove. I’ve also used it in the car and garage. Decent suction. Battery life could definitely be better, have to charge it after only an hour or so of use. I don’t care for the color scheme - would recommend something other than orange since we usually keep it next to the woodstove all winter long and it’s a bit of an eye sore.

Works great, nice suction. I wish there was a little better way to store the attachments, I have already lost one or 2 under my loveseat....I will get them someday. It really does have good suction, even though it doesn't sound like it. Definitely happy with my purchase.

Suction is not as strong as similar sized Shop Vacs, assume this is due to filtration media. Battery operation is very convenient. No ash coming out of vacuum into the room. Good for ash, not clinkers. Build quality is good. Very happy with it.
