When it worked it did a good job
I purchased this unit August 30th, 2023. It worked very well until yesterday. Now it is starting to ice up. I have owned 3 different dehumidifiers over the years. When they ice up, they are basically worn out, and not worth fixing. This is the first unit that failed in less than a year. I am in the process of trying to get a replacement from Waykar on the failed unit. If I get a new unit, free of charge, as I should under their warranty, I will update this review as 5 stars with total satisfaction with the product and service.Update 7-27-24: I was sent a replacement unit under warranty. Unfortunately, it did not work right out of the box. I contacted warranty support about this and within 3 days they sent me a different unit. I did return the failed unit. Customer support was responsive and resolved the problems that I had with their units. The latest unit is working as it should. How long it will last is an unknown. So, I am updating this review to 5 stars based on the Waykar warranty support. I will say this, I have purchased 2 different brands through Amazon, and both have failed after around a year of use. In the future I will buy dehumidifiers through local stores. I have talked to many people about this, and they report that their locally bought units last 3, 4, or more years. A 200 dollar plus dehumidifier should last much longer than 1 year in my opinion.

I really like this product.
Its really hum8d where i live and needed a dehumidifier in the bathroom to help with the moisture especially after showers to make sure i dont get mold growth. After trying out several dehumidifiers, I've come across this unit and really like it. It does a great job, the humidity display is pretty accurate, and auto turn on and off based on humidity setting is a great feature. In fact, I like it so much that I bought another one for my other bathroom.

Warranty replacement
We purchased our Waykar dehumidifier on April 15,2023. We received it on April 18,2023. We let it set for 24 hours as recommended and then turned it on. It ran beautifully removing humidity from our basement as expected. When we plugged the dehumidifier in on March 20, 2024 and turned it on, it wouldn’t remove any humidity. We then contacted customer service and found them very helpful and easy to work with. We are writing to say that Customer Service was willing to work with us totally. The product will be replaced and we will have a brand new dehumidifier running in our basement soon. Waykar truly cares for satisfying their customers. This is a very good value and does the job well.

Great unit, fantastic customer service!
I was very pleased with this machine during its 16 month lifespan. It was a powerhouse in my approx. 800 square foot basement apartment. It's quite loud (when you're in the same room as it) but tolerable as the noise was just pushed air with no overbearing motor sound. Like a powerful floor fan on high. Unfortunately it suddenly started freezing over, rendering it almost completely ineffective.Even though I was 4 months out of warranty, I figured it wouldn't hurt to reach out to Waykar. After some back and forth via email, it was determined that the machine was toast. They offered me a brand new unit even though they had zero obligation to do so. They suggested a different model which I did try, but it didn't work out in my space. They've now offered me another model as sadly this one is out of stock. My fingers are crossed I will like it as much as I did this one and that I will get more than a year's use of it! I am fully confident that their amazing customer service will be there to help me should I experience any problems again. It's due to that customer service that I would recommend this brand to others. They obviously care greatly about their customers satisfaction. Such a thing seems to be rare these days.
