Remove ice wrap from plastic bag and place in freezer for approximately 4 hours before first use. For best results, keep the wrap folded flat while freezing. There is no need to remove the ice inserts between freezing cycles. Make sure the inserts are distributed evenly throughout the length of each sleeve. STEP 1: Center the wrap over the front of the knee as shown above. STEP 2: Pull the middle sleeve snuggly behind the back of the knee and fasten to the middle hook and loop. Avoid pulling too tight over knee cap. STEP 3: Pull the top sleeve snuggly behind the back of the thigh and fasten the top hook and loop. STEP 4: Pull the bottom sleeve snuggly behind the back of the calf and fasten the bottom hook and loop. Elevate lower extremity above the heart with 2-3 pillows and feel the relief! Remove the A to P Total Knee Wrap after 20 minutes of application. Fold your A to P Total Knee Wrap and place into freezer for approximately 2 hours between applications. If you decide to remove ice inserts after each icing session, follow this easy step to slide the inserts into each sleeve: Squeeze the ice insert so that it rolls into a cylinder shape and slide the insert into each sleeve. Once inside sleeve, flatten ice insert. Pull the flap of material over the ice insert to keep from sliding out of the wrap. The patented 360 degree A to P Total Knee Ice Wrap provides unique ice coverage and joint pain relief. Covering the most skin surface area on the market by providing over 200 square inches of ice coverage on the leg, our 360 wrap is perfect for massive post op swelling! While the wrap was designed for post surgical total knee replacements it can be used for any sort of pain and swelling around the knee. If you have a regimented pain treatment plan or if you just have soreness from physical activity this is the wrap for you. Review: I had a total knee replacement surgery a little over 2 weeks ago. I've used this ice pack/wrap every day since I've been home from the hospital. I couldn't ask for a better product. With knee replacements, they start your physical therapy at home when you are just out of the hospital. Needless to say, since your knee has not yet healed, it lets you know that it isn't happy with all of the activity you must make it do. This ice wrap is heaven when you sit back and relax with it after exercises. In addition, I never dreamed how black and blue I would be at the back of my leg (since the incision is on top.) This wrap provides cooling all around the leg which is important to your comfort and pain relief. The strapping works great and keeps it positioned perfectly. I was a little nervous about the fit since I am a large person (6' tall and 290 pounds) and the repaired knee was very swollen. But it fits perfectly with even some travel left on the straps as well. My wife is due to get her knee replaced next and I'm confident this product will serve her well too. Review: Excellent product. It supports the whole knee area while reducing pain and discomfort . Highly recommended, as the best by far, of several which I have purchased in my search for an effective product.

A great help for my partner who has just had a knee op.

Much of the negative reviews for this item revolve around its bulkiness or contents of the ice pack. After my knee replacement, I used both a compression wrap and an ice machine for recovery. Both did the job adequately, but neither did a great job, primarily because neither covered the entire knee area, front and back, and above and below the knee where the muscles and ligaments are inflamed. My home therapist who, treated me for a month after the surgery, designed this wrap. I asked her about the opinions brought up in the negative reviews. She said that she had considered gel packs, but they caused the wrap to be much heavier, which necessitated using a water-based solution to reduce the weight. As it is, the design is a bit heavy, but it's because of the number of ice packs and the large area that it covers. Another slightly negative opinion is that it is too stiff and difficult to wrap around the knee. She suggested that it helps to allow the wrap to sit for a few minutes after removing from the freezer to permit some softening of the solution. To use it, I found it works best when the leg remain straight, and since your leg needs to be elevated a few times a day after the surgery, that's the best time to use it. Of the three icing techniques I used, this was absolutely the best one. It covered the largest area and also the front and back of the knee, and above and below it. I highly recommended it to both my surgeon and the therapist that I used after the home therapy.

Very effective, but it's both bulky and heavy. I suppose that comes with the territory, but it's a bit of a beast to carry around, and you'd struggle to fit it into the freezer compartment in most normal fridges, at least if you want to keep anything else in there as well. However, if you can cope with the logistics, it's the best knee-icer I've ever come across, and very good for icing the inside of the knee, which most products don't do.
