Pyrex -2 Prepware 2 Glass Measuring Cup

I had broken my old one....then decided I needed two. There are many times when two is really handy. Numbers are very legible, they are nice and sturdy and because they are Pyrex, tempered glass, usable in microwave, have used them for many things, including making a batch of tea, reheating leftovers, etc. They are glass....so I have to remember to not bang them around too much.

I love pyrex measuring cups. I dropped my old one on a tile floor and it did break so had to replace it. But they are easy to read and use. While they are dishwasher safe, if you wash them too much in the dishwasher the markings fade and you can't read them, so hand wash for longer use.

Good quality cup measures, very sturdy. I use these to heat up milk my hot cocoa, but they are useful anywhere you need to measure more than the little 1-cup, but less than the 4-cup.

I grew up using the glass Pyrex measuring cups my mother got when she married, and I used those same cups in my own kitchen for decades. When it was time to replace them I purchased this set, and I’m surprised at how poorly they’ve held up to normal (not daily) use. In less than two years the red measurement lines have partially disappeared, making them useless as cooking or baking tools. I now have to order a new set of glass measuring cups, and they won’t be Pyrex. .

Perfect , love having a few of these pyrex measuring cups for family bake offs.

You can’t go wrong with a glass Pyrex measuring cup. I would advise against plastic measuring cups as they absorb oils.

I love pyrex cups and this size is very useful. No problems with the cups themselves. My issue, which required product replacement, was that 2 of this item were "nested together" in one box with a small amount of brown paper. The box was the size of a shoe box. The measuring cups were shattered in the box. I'm sure they bounced around and slammed into each other. The box was marked "received damaged" by the USPS. The shipper/supplier needs to do a better job in safe packing. Replacement items were sent out promptly.

I have found these newer Pyrex items lose their markings in the dishwasher. These are replacements to hand wash only so I can actually use them to measure liquid ingredients. Funny some of my older measuring cups have kept their marks after many trips through the dishwasher, so Pyrex must have changed their process. Otherwise a perfectly functional glass measuring cup for as long as there are measuring marks.
