Nice Scraper
Great product. Easy to clean and works perfectly for my grilling. Exactly as described. Glad to have finally found one that is super affordable and nontoxic. Love how it isn’t treated with chemicals. Thanks!

Must have Cedar scraper for grilling!
Great grill scraper! Was looking for something in cedar wood, since I wasn’t too happy/comfortable using the wired scrapers. The quality was good and you can use it at any angle that you feel comfortable with. The grates will groove into the wood with constant usage.Definitely recommend!

I've been scraping the grill wrong for years!
Using a cedar scraper is the cleanest and easiest method I have come across for cleaning our Weber grill. We have the cast iron plates and those things can be a pain to clean. Using the wire brush just didn't really get the top of the grate clean, and certainly didn't clean well between them. Plus, the wire brush really did a hard number on the cast iron after a while. Then take into account you had to make sure your grate was free of tiny metal tines... This scraper seemed like a safer bet.I am the primary griller but by husband loves to go out with the Cedar Scraper and a bowl of water, and clean it up before we cook. The best thing about it is if the grooves in the wood get too deep, you just sand or saw it down. My one concern was, would this catch fire or continue to smoke after I used it? It did not do either (although we have it handing up over our fireplace inside where the walls are lined with tile).I choose this scraper over others sold here because of the thickness. However, my husband notes that because of the short size, it is best to wear long welder's gloves in case you happen to slip the scraper the wrong way on the grill.

Works well
This is a lot easier to use than a lot say. Start with a hot grill and it creates a nice groove to easily scrape up left over grill junk. I 100% recommend this over any bristle brushes.

Perfect little scraper
I saw Malcom Reed use a hickory scraper to quick clean a set of Grillgrates he had flipped over situated as a griddle while he was making burgers. I too own a set of those grates, and the wood-made scraper idea is a perfect solution for preserving the seasoning on the grates. But I wanted a more compact scraper for my setup than what Malcom was using. This little scraper is perfect: compact and easy to wield, but nice and thick with a perfect size handle so you can get plenty of leverage when needed...I imagine it will last a while. I only use it for my griddles, but how it will form to the pattern of your cooking grates is pretty useful and versatile too plus it's reasonably priced.

actual review from someone who paid for the product
Here's an actual review from someone who didn't get free stuff to leave "unbiased" feedback. I paid for this.I've had this about a week now. Firstly, it smells great, a good cedar aroma. I've used it now on the grill too and the first few uses you need to be careful to line up the budding grooves with your grill. My grill has large grates and it has not been an issue so far and it should be easier when I do more. As other reviewers say you cannot get the sides of the grill bars with this but the top is cleaner than it was with my old wire brush. The wood is soft and that's a bit of concern to me, I don't know how long it will last but it's too soon to judge. I'd like to get a good 2 years of use or more out of this. I will update this review as I use it more although grilling season is rapidly closing in Colorado.

Peace of Mind
Nice product, conforms to your grill grates and is safer to use than a metal brush. That helps with the peace of mind.

I think its a great product, smells wonderful in use on a hot ...
Because of online hype I have become fearful of using a metal bristle brush and I decided to give this a try. I think its a great product, smells wonderful in use on a hot grill, and leaves me fearless of anything breaking off. It has not, and shows no sign of splintering, but if it did I am confident the peices would burn up in the open flame of the grill. You could lkely get the same effect with a 2x4 but I honestly think its worth the money. it looks nice, is well crafted (for a cut plank) and really gives you peice of mind. The only con so far is that I find that the gril must be flipped over every couple uses to get a good clean and move any char bits left over.

Great tool!
I received my cedar bbq scraper the other day and used it right away. It works great!! The grooves formed easily into the scraper to match the grill, and it removed the access of old burnt foods. One problem I had tho is when I was using the corner of the scraper to get in between the grills, it broke off a piece of the cedar leaving some very small pieces of the wood. Way better than small metal pieces like from a wire brush tho!! I would recommend that everyone use a cedar scraper, rather than metal brushes!

Great product!
Pleasantly surprised!I've stopped using wire brushes for a while now... I was freaking out at the idea of swallowing wire pieces, I was especially concerned for my kids! I've tried different options like a wet rag with tongs or a half onion, both these option work but I was wasting a lot of rags and onions!I came across this looking at different options that were available, I chose the cedar scraper because I thought it looked kinda cool and better looking than other similar products! It works really well! Way better than I thought it would... My grill hasn't been this clean in a while! It Looks even better than the picture and smells really nice. Definitely recommend this to anyone who has a grill! I'll be ordering another one for Father's Day.

Best. Scraper. Ever.
Love the Cedar Scraper. After hearing horror stories about metal bristle brushes I was not BBQing again until I could find a suitable replacement. I love this product. It does just as good a job at cleaning the grills as a metal bristle brush, without having the added scare of getting one of those metal bristles in your food. I have now bought this product for 2 others and plan to buy it for more. I highly recommend this product!

Not bad, but not worth it overall
The Cedar Scraper is a safe alternative to traditional metallic wire brushes. It doesn't clean the BBQ surface as effectively as a wire brush, but that is to be expected, considering the surface area and design of the scraper compared to a brush. I found another brush in Home Depot and Lowe's that has large red plastic "wires" and the metallic blade you would have on a traditional brush. It is cheaper and works a lot better than this scraper. Overall, it does what is advertised, but it isn't worth the money. I could have picked up a cedar board from the hardware store and cut out the same design for a fraction of the cost. Spend your money elsewhere in my opinion.
