Top marks all around
I’ve had some nice twelves over the years, and I sometimes regret that some of them got away--among them, a Guild, a Taylor, a Martin, and a Larrivee. This Guild is probably the least expensive of the lot, but it’s the one I’ll keep. Playability, sound, action, looks: 5 stars. No reservations. Gorgeous sunburst top and highly figured ebony sides and back. Only the top is solid, with laminate sides and back, but it booms and chimes and fills the room. Definitely a keeper.

Stunning Playable 12 String
Wow! Can an absolutely beautiful 12 string guitar, that sounds as good as it looks, also be easy to play? While I wouldn't recommend this (or any 12 string) for a beginner, the answer is Yes. Crisp, Bright tone, fantastic sustain, This is a Keeper! This is such a Visually stunning guitar with its ebony back and cool sunburst top that It SHOULD come with its own hardshell case to protect the jewel that IS The Guild D 2612CE. If you can find one...it's a buy!

I'm really heartbroken!
This was one of the most beautiful guitars I believe I have ever seen! Last one on the net so I yanked out the old credit card to make sure I got it! Packaging looked great on arrival but when I opened it up I found a two inch stress crack on the left end of the bridge! I'm so disappointed that I could just scream! You would think Quality Control would at least open their eyes when they do an inspection before shipping! Thumbs down to Guild!Update: Ordered a second one! It came shipped in just the display box and, of course, it was dinged pretty bad! Not gonna lie....I'm really not very happy with Amazon, Gear Tree and everybody else on the internet right now! Debating on whether I should make a third try or not! Right now I'm leaning toward NOT!SECOND UPDATE: Ordered this guitar for the third time! Then I called Gear Tree. Spoke to a young man by the name of Matt! Nice guy, really listened to what I had to say! He rushed out to the shipping dock, took my guitar off the skid and re-boxed it! I mean he wrapped it up like Grandma's fine china! It got to me four days early! It is stunning. Perfect in every way and I can't wait to play it onstage! Matt made Gear Tree look good even after a few fumbles! I could not be happier! You folks at Gear Tree should probably give Matt a raise. He didn't just do his job. He made a repeat customer! Thanks Matt!

Pretty good sounding 12 string
Hard to give more than 3 stars price is hefty for the sound quality which is ok but nothing great. That said it sounds better than the least expensive ones 12 strings are hard to make. The woods are very very pretty the Ebony back on the one I bought was gorgeous but I wasn't looking for a wall piece I needed a great sounding 12 string this just didn't cut it for me. Just a note I did play their flagship 512 12 string in Rosewood and spruce wow it was the best but for $5,000 just not something I could justify. The 512 should be $3,500 (Gibson hand makes awesome guitars for $3,000) and this guitar should be $500 tops
