Would this be considered a M6 type thread?

I was not really sure what M6 meant so forgive me if this is an ignorant answer but according to my brief research it seems like you're asking if it is a metric thread? In that case the answer would be no, the thread is 1/4 20, meaning 1/4 inch is the diameter of the screw and their are 20 threads per inch, which I believe would make it imperial not metric. Would these work on the Jonny Boats Bass 100 rail system?

They should work no problem, you may just have to use them with the T-bolt at an angle depending how wide your track is, if it does have a wide slot opening you may want to also order one of their feel free unitrack adaptor plates for each T-bolt secured product you plan to have. The YakAttack product number is AAP-1012 for one and AAP-1012-6 for a six pack.

what are the dimensions of the T-head?

I just measured some and it appears to be 1 1/8" (at widest point as the edges are rounded) x 1/2" x 1/8", these are not official measurments from Yak Attack though, I just measured some we had in our retail store.
