DO EPIC SHIT

Loved the writing style!
Do Epic Shit is just like another self-help book. Why and how is it different than others?Simply put, the book is honest and brutal and is written in the most simple language ever! There is no particular order or step-by-step rules for success. It is an accumulation of one's personal choices. The choices that one makes in everyday life.Ankur talks about his struggles and failures throughout the book. The lessons that he learned the hard way. Now, what you take from the book depends upon your perspective. It is easy to finish the book in one go and feel inspired. But in the true sense, it is equally challenging to stick around the words and remember the lessons. The book is golden, but for only those who know what to do with the hen who lays golden eggs (remember the story?)I loved the book. I practically relate to the instances mentioned in the book and try to think differently. I try to think beyond my capacity. This book will leave such an impression on you. It is so simple, yet, it will have a profound and lasting impression on you!

If you don’t like to read, here is one right book that will steal your heart !The eye catching part is that you can read the book from anywhere, there is no start or end, every page is like a curated chapter ! He has written exclusively on topics like success, habits, awareness, money, relationships etc. This book is a must read because it teaches you life, more than you can imagine. Trust me, each word is perfectly blend into beautiful sentences that dive deep into your heart. And, another best part is that you never get bored of reading it again and again. I personally read it all in a day and to churn the most out of it, I have made it a practice every morning to randomly open a page read it and follow it with full heart. And, that’s indeed a beautiful way to start your day. I also share some of the lines in my social media and I love the way how everyone falls in love with it — like a love at first sight. Some lines in this book make you think, some hits you deep, some bring realisations and some just brings tears. This book is a roller coaster journey of emotions. If you are an avid book reader or if you are someone who has never been to reading, then this book is definitely something you can start with. I assure that atleast one page will change your life to the best ! Because, each page has changed mine✨

Nothing Shocking but everything trivial!
Very candidly, in the beginning, Ankur starts off by saying, "A year from now, you wish you had started today, START TODAY." Acting upon the advice, I am stepping into the 'epic' world of book reviewing with 'Do Epic Shit.'The book is essentially a journal in print. It doesn't attempt to reveal to you an entirely new perspective. Instead, what Ankur tries with this one is to remind you of things you already know but have probably overlooked in the day-to-day hustle.Nothing shocking but everything trivial!Almost every page starts off with a quote and elaborates it in a few lines, barring the personal experiences sections. Ankur very candidly mentions 'Book Cricket' in the introduction, and how he looks at this one as a book someone can play Book Cricket with, and as the book progresses, you realize how it is designed to achieve just that. With every 'run' you make, you are reminded of a particular aspect of life that you might have ignored or overlooked, and in case you haven't missed that, the book adds conviction to your actions. And let's say, even if you get out, instead of disappointment, the book leaves you with lessons to restart over or just start - for instance, pg10 talks about starting today, pg20 tells you to move on if you are unhappy, pg 30 about death and survival in different scenarios so on and so forth. The best part for me was the candid compilation of mistakes.***Confession - As I went through them, I realized I had committed 90% of the mistakes in my '20s; thanks Ankur, for giving the heads up for the '30s ***I can't change my '20s, but thankfully for '30s, I still have good seven and a half years left!! Phew! However, since I read the entire book at a go, I felt that it was slightly scattered in some areas. I felt like jumping from one thought to another while I would have loved a gradual progression.Nonetheless, a good read for Gen Z and millennials for it helps them to learn from someone's experiences - 'someone' who has been in situations you have been in or might fall in future, 'someone' who has learned from mistakes either by 'reading' or by 'committing' them and is allowing you to learn by reading the compilation in his work 'Do epic shit.'
