E-Collar Educator EZ-900-1/2 Mile Remote Waterproof Dog Trainer - Static, Vibration and Sound Stimulation Collar with PetsTEK Dog Training Clicker

I had an older version so when replacing i stuck with the E900. Directions for doing certain function were not clear, nor was AI when checking. Yet, they put a card in box for support and when I was getting frustrated their support walked through the desired function. Easy call, person pleasant, and swiftly resolved any questions.

With the plan to use short term during training and putting in the work. And to use for positive training. I had a professional trainer working with me to use properly. Hesitate to recommend without proper instruction.

Price was good compared to other vendors. My dog training recommended this device and it appears to have many features that will allow the least restrictive correction with maximum results.

The collar works great however the battery life is horrible it has to be charged almost daily making it a pain to put on and off the dog. We have purchased the mini and it is worst then this one about staying charged. This was the highly recommended one from our trainer but we had a cheaper version that requires batteries and it lasted longer then these high dollar ones.

Remote stops pairing with collar after 2 months of use.Edit: updated from 1 star to 5. Contacted their customer support and they replaced the unit free of charge since it’s under warranty.

I ordered the EZ Educator 900. I charged up the collar and the hand unit. Once those were both charged, I activated the collar and turned on the hand unit. As I was reading the directions and going through the functions I came across the I mode. It describes how to switch on the I mode. I followed the instructions but couldn’t get the I mode to turn on so I started to do some research on the internet. I found more instructions on You Tube. They were the same as the Instruction booklet. I noticed there was suppose to be an ”I” icon on the hand unit screen. On my unit there wasn’t any “I” icon. I called the company but it was past working hours so I decided to send it back thinking it was defective. Before I could send it back Amazon required that I call in to see if we could troubleshoot it over the phone. After a period of time, the Amazon service rep could only provide the same information as the owners manual. I asked Amazon to send a return slip and just send me another unit. They did so and on the second EZ Educator 900, it did the same thing. This time I called the manufacturer during business hours and they told me that I had to sign on with a PC and get some kind of interface from their website and then hook up the hand unit to activate the I mode. The first email had various attachments and one attachment had a picture of an interface but no directions to get the interface. I am still waiting to receive the process to get the interface to activate the I mode.I have a German Shepherd with thick fur in the neck area. I’m having trouble gettin her to feel any stimulation. I could feel the stimulation on my fore arm at a stetting of 5. I put the longer prongs on in hope to get her to feel it. I tried to comb the prongs through her fur to make sure it contacts skin and I’ve tightened the collar to the point I feel it is holding thingy in place but she still hasn’t felt any stimulation on a 15 setting. I’m concerned about going higher. I’ll keep working on this but I may be returning this unit also.

Purchased to begin training my young Belgian Malinois. Item is simple to use, and has great battery life, until it stops accepting a charge.After 90 days, The collar itself no longer charges and just falls off the charging cable, and the remote's charging receptacle has a difficult time accepting its charging cable as well.Both items still appear to be in "like new" condition, but have critical failing components.Also, for some reason when using the remote within relatively close proximity of LED lights, it will turn them on or off.
