Standard but sturdy mailbox.. not big but not too small.. some packages can fit

Really too small for a lot of mail, but cute! I used mine to decorate my office. For the price I think it’s fine!

For holidays I like to come up with functional “baskets” for my family rather than using and storing a literal basket for all the people in my home. For Valentine’s Day, I got these real mailboxes to house the little gifts and - of course - valentines. Since my family is so large, I bought SEVEN, and I feel uniquely situated to give a thorough review. First of all, they install insanely easily. Since they’re installed on the inside of my home (outside of our bedrooms), I can’t speak to how weatherproof they are, but they hold up to little kids messing with them all day as they leave each other mail or check to see if mom and dad left them any goodies. My favorite feature is that the door will hold itself open when you flip it up. They are quite loud to get into and out of, but it’s not too difficult to keep the noise down when my hands are full as I can simply flip them up, and they’ll stay in place until I’m done unloading, and then I can quietly lower the kids back down. The quality control is *okay* I did notice 2 boxes with cosmetic damage fresh out of the package, and the inside of one of them looked botched; I can only describe it as looking like water damaged cheap “wood” furniture: warped, bubbly, and not good. It was on the inside bottom part of the box, so I didn’t really care to return it given the circumstances. Overall I truly like them, and if one got damaged somehow I would definitely replace it with the exact same item - great buy!

These are kinda cheaply made - thin metal, flap attachment doesn't seem that solid. But hey - they are cheap (inexpensive) so it should be expected. Generally, you get what you pay for. I bought 2 for a duplex rental property and they work and are holding up fine. But if you are looking for something "nice", I would keep looking.

Closing the lid revealed that the 2 black rubber bumpers did not come in contact with the lid. I switched them out with thicker ones and that did the trick. I also had to drill 2 new mounting holes since the holes in my brick wall were a little narrower. Other than that, this is a really nice mailbox for the price. Five stars.

My Dad needed a small mailbox at his new place and this fit the bill. It's very lightweight and small, but works well if you don't get a ton of mail. The issue with this item was the mounting template that came with the mailbox was wrong. The holes didn't line up with the holes on the mailbox. That could be a HUGE problem if you drill the holes without checking the alignment on the box first. Just reach into the box and mark the holes with a short pencil or a nail.
