GE Appliances WB44K10009 Genuine OEM Bake Element for Ranges

The bake element came very quickly, using just standard shipping, and was packed well. I had read a reviewer saying theirs arrived in just a plastic bag, but mine was shipped in a sturdy box. I had read about making sure the leads from the oven did not slip back into the insulation behind the oven, but of course, one did, and an installation that would have taken about 5 minutes took me about 15 since I had to slide out the range and take off the back in order to get to the errant lead. It still was very simple! The oven is working fine now. In fact, things cook much quicker now because our old bake element apparently went bad over a period of time and we got used to cooking things longer. It happened so slowly we didn't notice until the element went out altogether. So be careful when you put in a new element that you don't overcook, or even burn, dinner!

This is a lifesaver! 5 days before a big party, my lower element went, ordered, received and installed in 2 days and works lime a charm!

Old element melted when I ran cleaning cycle. Went to 2 appliance centers and one repair center. All said its not the standard GE element. Was $120 to order new through appliance center $80 new on amazon. I bought open box version from amazon for $30. It came with a broken off connector stuck to one of the spades so I guess the first owner had a bad time. Pulled it off with a pliers, installed in my oven and have had no issues for the 3 months it has been in there.

Make sure you measure the distance between the ends of the electrodes. The oven installed this and actually had a wider pattern. I was able to make this work, however.

Solid replacement. Installed easily, just don't forget to turn off the breaker at your electrical panel before messing with wires.

My ovens lower bake element ruptured and failed after 19 years of use so I had to buy a new element, and if you browse the web you'll find the part at a variety of parts suppliers, distributors and resellers but the listed price you'll pay will be somewhere between $88 -$95 sometimes free shipping and sometimes not. These merchants all seem to collude to keep the parts prices artificially high, so I checked Amazon.com on a hunch and sure enough they had the exact replacement lower bake element for only $49.99 and in new unused condition with free shipping. I bought it, got it in 3 days and problem solved for half the price you'd normally have to pay. Great deal!

Our GE Profile oven took a long time to preheat. The oven temperature display would actually say the temperature was hot but it didn't match the thermometer in the oven. Over time it got worse. Eventually the oven would get to the proper temperature. We replaced a sensor thinking that was the issue. Eventually the temp started acting more sporadic so we bought this part. Easy to replace. Fixed the temp issue. Feeling dumb that I didn't buy this sooner.

I was unaware my old oven element was passing electricity to the chassis of stove when on. New circuit with GFCI breaker revealed a shock hazard. This replacement element corrected the ground fault and saved me the cost of a new appliance.

Delivery was very fast, as promised. Product is identical to the one it replaced, so took just 5 minutes to install. As this is a G.E. original, I have high expectations that it will be durable. Time will tell..

So pleased with this replacement element. It was straight forward to install, though I did lose one of the wires inside the insulation when I removed the old element. Luckily the wire was easy enough to push through once I removed a small panel at the back of the oven. The new element snapped in easily. It arrived well packaged and in great condition, and appears to be a genuine GE replacement part. Delivery was quick so we didn’t have to go long without a working oven, and the price was comparable to online appliance part stores. There was some odour during its first use, but I imagine that’s to be expected and it disappeared after running the oven for about 40 minutes. Overall I’m very happy we decided to order this and replace it ourselves.

So many elements, who would have known. This one fit my GE Profile oven perfectly. Back of oven needs to come off to connect element to wires. Easily done and works perfectly.
