I bought the small size because I read a review that said it fitted the Tala strainer stand and foolishly assumed it would be the same for the Lakeland one. Nope, it's too small. Not the fault of the product though - I'm using it in a funnel over a jar to strain some home made liqueur and it works nicely. Seems well sewn together and decent value.

I didn't give 5 stars, because I can't compare it to any other brand as I never use one before.

I've used many bags manually and with a fruit press and they always seem very difficult to clean and easy to damage as the fruit seeds get stuck, but this was a real pleasure to use and clean as the mesh is so much finer, juice was very easy to extract and the cleaning took seconds under a running tap as the mesh is much too fine for the seeds to get stuck, and as a result it's also a lot stronger than the previous bags.

I bought the Tala Jam Strainer for the stand, but the bag that came with it was too coarse for straining liquids. So I bought this in Small, which fits the stand perfectly. It's longer than the bag that came with the stand, so holds more, but exactly the right diameter (the Tala jam strainer has a 15.5 cm diameter rim). Think this will be the perfect grade to strain sediment from home-made organic fertiliser. 74 microns equals 200 mesh size, or 0.074 mm. Finest mesh size is 400, or 37 micron, but don't think they sell straining bags that fine - would probably be too fine, anyway. You can get a strainer insert for a funnel with 400 mesh, but that's a lot smaller and would take ages for large amounts. Many straining bags don't specify the exact grade, just say "fine", so went for this, as wanted to be sure. Would've preferred an elasticated rim, myself. This has a drawstring, but it fits the Tala stand so well, I don't even need to tighten it.. It's quite expensive for a nylon bag, but seems well made. Only quibble would be that it was folded up very small - economical for posting/packing, but means a lot of deep creases. Overall, would recommend if you need a very fine grade.

Habe mir den Beutel zum Herstellen von Hafermilch gekauft. Funktioniert sehr gut, ist stabil, lässt sich leicht reinigen und trocknet schnell. Bevorzuge diesen Beutel gegenüber Baumwolltüchern. Absolute Kaufempfehlung!

Fantastico prodotto, ben fatto, resistente, facilmente lavabile con uno spazzolino da cucina con setole bianche, resite senza problemi anche allo sbiancaggio in candeggina, torna nuovo!

Premier test pour des jus de légumes à l'extracteur, il reste quand même des fibres solubles après filtration. Le textile a une faible filtration.
