So far so good!
I just unboxed and used this today - shortly after it arrived! It arrived a day sooner than scheduled, and was packaged very well. I only made a half batch of the almond krumkake - the first few did not bake very evenly, but they seemed to improve as I went along. I have a lot to make for an event next week, so I am pleased that I can make 2 in roughly a minute - I think letting it go JUST over a minute they were turning out best. Overall I am pleased! :)

Nice flat wafer maker
Excellent for making flat wafer type biscuits which you can roll (ice cream cones) or mold into fortune cookies. I love the subtle, ornate designs on the griddle part.

Loved it
Gift for my sister. Easy to use once you get going. Cleaned up well. Something we will use again and again.

Poor results
My Electric Krumkake Baker arrived today. I was so anxious to get this as an addition to my Chefs Choice Krumcake Express 839. The product and box were intact, & in good condition. The waffle cookies, or krumcakes, turned out doughy, not crispy, very very pale, and under cooked despite being on high temperature and for increasing lengths of time. And frankly, the appliance as a whole looks cheaply made. I'd be surprised if it held up for a year. So it wasn't the cooking time, or the temperature setting, it's the appliance itself. I usually don't get too worked up about stuff like this, but I gotta tell you, I'm VERY disappointed. Also, there's absolutely no comparison in quality compared to the Chefs Choice Krumcake Express 839 machine. I'm 100% Belgian, :), it's a tradition in our family to make Lukken (crispy waffle cookes) using a cast iron cookie press that goes over gas heat (which I don't have in Virginia), and you make them one at a time. The end result is worth the time. And the (electric) Chef's Choice Krumcake Express 839 came thru In flying colors. But this sad excuse of a krumcake maker is going back today! Total disappointment on all counts.

OK, but not great.
The electric Krumkake iron is serviceable, but unless you press down hard on the lid as soon as the cookie batter/dough is in place, the resulting krumkake will be too thick. I also found the heat levels to be a little erratic. Long story short: It works, but I'm sure there are better ones available.

Uneven cooking, junk
Very unimpressed with this iron. Cooks very unevenly. The outer edges are undone yet the center is black. Light on it is useless as a timer since it seems to burn one batch in one minute and the next batch it takes 2 minutes. Would return if I had not already used it....

Very happy
I have always used my grandmother's iron on a gas stove. Was a little unsure if I would like it and I'm happy to say this works great.
