All American Tailgate Stained Wood Slate Cornhole Boards

I have never taken the time to post a review, but I was so disappointed that I have to return what was intended to be an anniversary present for my wife, who loves playing Cornhole, and now I have nothing for an anniversary present...1. The two stars are for two points about the product and the seller: a. Shipping: The seller shipped the product very quickly, and given that it had to come clear across the United States, it was shipped expediently for 65 pounds. b. Dimensions: The boards were very square, and the dimension were absolutely within specifications for "official" boards.2. Description: When I ordered the boards, they were described as being "barn boards." The name has since changed. I was expecting barn boards, and opened the box for my wife to find cut plywood, and 1/2 inch at that. The new description is much closer, but still ridiculous.3. Assembly: Multiple air-gun nails that were used to mount the plywood missed the mark, and were left sticking out underneath. Furthermore, the nails are steel, and no car was taken to protect them from the elements. Exposure to the elements would result in deterioration of the bond (e.g. the three months of fog in Northern California).4. "Barn Board" Alignment: The barn boards, or planks, or "slates" are not planar. Might as well have just left the whole thing as a solid piece of plywood.5: Finish: Some stain was slapped on, and perhaps a quick spray-coat of lacquer. The finish is rougher than necessary for the no-slip requirement for regulation boards, and will collect dust and dirt quickly. The stain is not uniform, including a bare part in the plywood at the hole.Ultimately, the construction and design looks like about $40 in lumber materials in labor, and that is California prices. Obviously, I'm sending it back.

Don't expect anything fancy like what you can get from Dicks or your sports store. It's exactly like how it's titled. Very heavy and sturdy, and seems like it will last you a few lifetimes. Lol.

Absolutely love these boards! The quality is beautiful, exactly what I expected!

Very sturdy and well built havent got to use them yet due to all the rain we been getting but look forward to alot of backyard entertainment with them!!!
