Blue Sea Systems 6006 m-Series ON/OFF Battery Isolator Switch with Locking Key, Red

I bought this to turn on/off my boat's main battery. It works just as intended. It has breakaway access locations on all four sides, so it can accommodate multiple different setups. Blue Sea is a very reputable brand in marine electronics, so I trust it will work well and last. If I recall correctly, it doesn't come with mounting fasteners.

I installed this battery disconnect on my trailer mounted diesel generator. This switch permits prevents an accidental startup while accomplishing maintenance and also prevents the generator controller from draining the starting battery.

I should have bought one of these and installed it some time ago. Quality and design is good. Functionality and operation are good. Connections are easy and functional.

These work well for turning the power off on your batteries from the main circuits on your boat wiring

That's right, it's a very sturdy switch but it DOESN'T COME WITH THE SCREWS that close and mount the box to your vehicle (or boat). YOU WILL NEED four #10-32 x 3" long round head machine screws, and four #10-32 hex nuts (these will fit in the 3/8" hex recesses in the lower case. If you can't find the #10-32 screws you can also use #10-24.The 3" length screws will protrude about 11/16" beyond the case. I drilled matching holes in the fuse box cover of my truck and attached the battery switch with 4 more nuts and lockwashers. Use a different length screw if you need another mounting solution.
