Hocus Pocus: The Illustrated Novelization

My daughter absolutely loves this book. The illustrations are beautiful and really bring the story to life. It keeps her engaged and excited to read, especially since she already loves the Hocus Pocus story. Great quality and a wonderful addition to our home library. Highly recommended for kids who enjoy illustrated stories.

This book is spectacular! Based on the price, I expected something lower quality, but I am blown away! The hardcover detailing is gorgeous, every single page is printed with a texture, it’s illustrated on the inside beautifully. It’s truly a keepsake and I can’t believe I stumbled across it. We are starting a tradition where we watch hocus-pocus with our Little girl every year and host a rocky horror style picture show activity but with hocus-pocus. This is also going to be a book. We read in tradition every single year.

We absolutely loved the “Hocus Pocus” illustrated book by A.W. Jantha, illustrated by Gris Grimly! Our kids really enjoyed reading it this October, and it was the perfect lead-up to watching the movie together afterward. The illustrations are fantastic—so unique and really capture the spooky vibe of the story. We especially liked how the pages are made to look weathered; my kids thought it added to the creepy atmosphere! It was a fun and engaging read that we’ll definitely revisit every Halloween. Highly recommend for any “Hocus Pocus” fan!

WOW! This book is way more beautiful than I could have anticipated. I did not realize the cover displayed with this purchase was just simply the dust cover. The book itself beneath the jacket is red in color and on the front cover, you have a very similar resemblence to the cover of the book in the intro of the movie. Then on the back of the book, you have a gorgeous illustration of the trio. There are countless illustrations throughout the pages- the full-paged one's are pure magic. The pages of the book themselves have also not been ignored in detail. They show a worn look to them and the beginnings of the chapters start with detailed calligraphy lettering. It is very reminiscent of the Sisters' spell book. This in itself can purely be a collectors item. I am shook seeing how low the pricing is, as there is so much detail within it's illustrations, exterior and overall feel of the book. I literally almost got teary eyed as I had my first skim through. The nostalgia will overtake you and you'll be guarding this amazing book at all costs as a Hocus Pocus fan.

This book is amazing! I bought it for my 7 year old who is obsessed with Hocus Pocus. The book is thick, it will take a few days to get through. My 7 year olds could read some of the words, but I ended up reading it so she could get the full effect. She said while listening to me read, she could see the movie playing in her head. What we loved: The pictures are awesome, fantastic art work! It follows the movie exactly, and it also adds a few things that were not in the movie. The pages are laid out nicely. Some are just words, some just pictures and some a mixture of both. There is nothing negative I can say about this book. It is a nice book to have and pull out every Halloween! BUY IT!

I'll start by saying I have not read the whole book yet, as it was only just released today. I will say, from what I've read so far, the book seems to be well written. It's also an absolutely beautiful book that appears to be very well made. The illustrations are absolutely gorgeous and add a very nice touch. If you remove the protective outer cover, you are left with a stunning old school witchy style cover, which I love as much, if not more, than the cover sheet. The book is rather large in size, which may make it harder to carry around with you, but it doesn't particularly bother me. My only slight disappointment is that I thought every page would be displayed with illustrations of some sort, which is not the case. Overall, I'm loving this book so far and I'm quite happy with my purchase of it.

Read a little every night of October to my boys leading up to Halloween. They really enjoyed it and loved the pictures. Great memories and cute to sit on a shelf for Halloween.

We saw "Hocus Pocus" in the movie theater and wasn't that impressed at first. But upon seeing it more times, the movie grew on us. It is now a cult classic. The story is even better and a fun read for Halloween. It is meant for older kids/teens, since it references a virgin lighting the black candle to bring the Sanderson Sisters back to life. The illustrations are colorful and befitting of this story. It is a nice, large hardbound book and will make a great addition to your library. I like the fact that the pages and text have an "antique" look if there's no illustration. A great gift for fans of the movie or for collectors of "Hocus Pocus" paraphernalia.

Merveilleux ! J'aime ce livre illustré. Les illustrations sont jolies, mais j'ai retiré la couverture pour avoir la reliure rouge original qui fait plus mystérieux et authentique. Une chance que je comprends l'anglais, mais c'est dommage qu'il n'y ait pas de traduction française.

Esta en ingles, las ilustraciones son muy bonitas.
