Detailed pictures
This has a nice variety of pictures that are snapshots, not drawings. I use these quite often with my aphasia patients and like the quality. My only dislike is the small print on back (spelling of what the word is). I use the written word quite often as well in therapy sessions and when I use these cards, I do have to write the word separately on index cards as the print on the back of these cards is way to small for my parents.

Very Helpful for Teaching Language
The flashcards have been great for helping my 2 year old with developmental delays to communicate his needs more effectively. He has learned the names of various types of food (raisins) and toys (car) from using the flashcards. He will sit and look at these better than books, where he wants to turn the pages himself and will not work to point out or identify items. Having just one or two to look at one time has been very helpful for teaching. I can also use these to give him choices between items (Would you like milk or juice) and he can touch or take the card of the item that he wants. I wish they were sturdier, because he gets excited about certain cards (i.e. balloons) and the card is wrinkled like crazy. I am going to try laminating them. I also had to laugh at the flashcards for a VHS cassette and a cassette tape. My daughter (5 years old) who does not have any language delays had no idea what they were, obviously. So an update to some of the pictures, especially given the price point, would be nice. However, I know these cards are the gold standard for those with language delays and after using them for several months, it's easy to see why. They are expensive, but worth it in my opinion. The box does have room for additional cards if you expand your set with some of the other Stages Learning Materials cards.

Recommended!
This series of flashcards, and this particular set specifically, have been essential tools for a number of years. We have purchased 20 or so sets over the past few years and they have been essentia. The pictures are edgeless which is a plus. The images are clear, bright, and typically have little or no distracting background, which is really essential with kiddo's with autism in our experience. There are 4 main sets in this series with this set "Nouns" being the one most frequently used with our treatment programs. It can be augmented with additional nouns using the "Language Builder Nouns Set 2" in the same series. Good procedures are essential but so are good stimulus (teaching) materials and these cards are an excellent tool to help children learn to use language! We highly recommend this series of cards.

Durable cards.
Very good quality. My son is autistic and is currently deceiving at home ABA therapy and this is one of the learning materials the therapist recommended. Very good language educational material. The pack is big. And you get plenty of cards in the pack and they are thick. Is a bit expensive but is worth it

Fantastic cards! And can mix match all of them to creat endless programs. These cards will last you years and the programs you can make are endless. Love the pictures and generalizations and will be getting them for more clients.

Good but has many outdated pictures
The cards are extremely sturdy and have a great tracking grid on the back. The pictures are vibrant and well printed. The only issue I have is that some of the toys and most of the electronics are outdated. For example there is a picture of a toy microphone that plays music on a cassette tape. I haven't seen one of those since I was a child! For basics this set is great, but don't expect to get very far with teaching electronics.

Fantastic set!
I've used these products in center-based treatment facilities and loved them so much I had to buy my own set. Very useful for early intervention kiddos. They offer a good variety of pictures and multiple object pictures for identical and and non-identical matching. You will still have to get creative with programming for generalization (3D objects, other formats, etc.) but still a useful service tool.

Good product But they need to come down in their prices
There’s no way this product should be this expensive! Many families we work with cannot afford to buy it and we sure shouldn’t have to buy a set each time. They could come down to $100 per set and make it a little bit more durable and with some upgraded pictures. It is a good product and the fact that you can run a lot of assessments and objectives.

Cons: - not so much pictures renewed from the last version (looks like they simply replaced pictures that are outdated) - it is expensive - some pictures are identically matching; some are not. - i wish there are more examplars for some of the items instead of having so many pictures of cats, beds, etc. Pros: - Cards are nice - it saves huge amount of your time by buying this product - making the same materials will takes hours and hours.

old pictures. not the best for low functioning kids. the seller never cares about buyers satisfaction. be aware that if you return it, you lose 20% of the price, and have to pay for shipment!!
