ONIPAX Seatpost Binder Bolt Screw

My Bike frame's seat post has been secured with a standard nut and bolt for a number of years, but as I was repainting and updating it to modern components, i wanted to get the appropriate hardware for my seat-tube. This seat post binder bolt is an absolutely perfect fit for my 70's steel tube frame, and sits in the seatpost flanges exactly as it is intended to. holds securely, and has not loosened. Things to note that are not specified in the item description: -This binder bolt has BOTH a threaded nut, and a threaded bolt. It was easy to assume this was the case, but the photos do not show that it is in fact a nut and bolt that come together as a seamless junction when fully threaded. The threaded nut side has an external flange on the interior face of the head. This piece is intended to fit in the notch that should be present on your bike; it's purpose is to hold the nut in place so the bolt side can be fastened from one side and not spin when tight. If you do not have a notch, you would need to cut one, or use a different style of fastener. I have a notch, and this bolt allowed be to realize what it was for. Overall, quality metal, smooth threads, and a perfect fit on a 70's road bike with a 25.4mm ID seatpost frame.

Works as it should. The 19mm verson of this is pretty universal. The chrome on this has a gray hew so it's not too blingy. If you have an old bike using black components, this can be used.

I am restoring a Tange steel-framed Bianchi for my cousin. It was ridiculously heavy so one by one, I am replacing the drivetrain, the cockpit, the wheels, the brakes and everything else on this bike. It came with an unnecessarily clunky seatpost clamp so I got rid of it and ordered this item. It's a perfect fit, the shiny chrome looks simple and elegant and best of all, it's so much lighter than what was on this lovely Bianchi before. All this for under $10!

This will do the job. It's almost impossible to use washers on either side otherwise it won't fit...

The material is great quality. And it fit great on my bike.

A little pricey for what's basically a nut and bolt, but I'd give it five stars anyway. I was able to change out an ugly clunky hex bolt for this one, purely cosmetic but it looks much better. My seat clamp was 22 mm or so, so I chose the 19mm and it worked out perfectly.

19mm is the correct size, if you're here for a Trek 830 steel frame. It feels high quality, and has a little protruberance on one side, that fits into a notch on the left side of the frame.
