Have used these guys for years. Always have an extra pair in case of damage or breakage from ill fated maneuvers on the trail.

Won't clamp down enough to stop them from twisting on the bars while climbing. I gave them and extra half turn and... "POP" plastic threads pulled right out. Total junk.

I must admit I have always been a fan of bar ends on my mountain bike and have seen the evolution from Brahma Bars to every other shape imaginable. I love the simple small shape and light weight of these ends and am amazed at the number of different hand positions that can be accommodated. I use carbon fiber handlebars and have had other bar ends crush the material but these ends have always gripped the bar well without compromising them. I just bought a new Tallboy and plan on purchasing a new set of these to compliment my ride!

I have used these for years on my two mountain bikes and they work great. They are light weight and allow a different hand position while climbing. I had some issue of slippage on one set of handlebars, but I put a thin piece of rubber between the bar & the barend. That stopped that issue.
