Through hole in a SMT world
This sort of kit is a necessity for my old through-hole way of living with my hobby. These cards work well, in a few ways1 Tinned to make soldering easier2 Well thought out flexibility for different package sizes.3 good selection of boards to start4 includes headers5 good valueSome adapters I’ll never use, some I hope to never need and others enable projects.I have even put wire wrap (longer) headers on a few and wire-wrapped surface mount parts! Must be sacrilege to some component theologyI’ve purchased a couple of these kits and supplemented with additional boards for higher use parts. Some modern op amps are only available as SMT. Just note that it’s unlikely to deliver full specs when used among through-hole or other parts/interconnects. Parasitic infestation. If you need that, make a board or use an evaluation board etc.

Beyond perfect!
When these were purchased, i was an engineering student working on a capstone project alongside other groups. I used them and so did a few others.We all had different parts and chips that needed tested. This kit did not let us down. Aside from bga chips this kit has a board for almost anything you have on your list to be tested.WILL purchase again
