This is the first mat I've used that isn't flimsy and leaking, a lot of mats actually absorb the urine and stick to the floor! Not this mat though, it's very thick silicone and it does what it's supposed to: keep the floor dry and litter-free. It's a little bigger than I expected, but that's not a problem. My boy can be a little messy, and he would jump right over the old mat and get litter everywhere. Apparently, this mat feels ok on his paws and he can exit the litter box like a gentleman. Heavy and thick mat, easy to clean, great product!

My cat is getting older and occasionally has litterbox mishaps, with "spillage." Having used mesh-style litter mats which are nigh impossible to effectively clean, I have been using a "grid" type with a large matrix. While not impossible to clean, it was still difficult and messy. With an eye to improving that, I decided to give this smooth silicone mat a try.Within days of installation the cat had put the mat to the test with a liquid mess. The mat had no trouble containing the mess, and instead of a big production to remove the mat outside for less messy cleaning, a simple mop up in-place with paper towels took care of the problem. Exactly what I was looking for.As for minimizing litter tracking out of the box, I find that this mat works as well or slightly better than the old one, with a collection of stray litter on the mat itself and a small amount of "escapees" outside that are easily collected with a sweeper or brush.Very pleased with the results and only wish I'd switched long ago. I'd definitely purchase again, and highly recommend for anyone looking for easier cleanup. It may not be perfect in trapping stray litter, but it more than makes up for that in easy cleanup. Generously sized too.

Forget everything else, this is the best litter mat money can buy. My cat has accidents sometimes & it was a nightmare to clean previous mats. This is the simplest wipe-&-go mat ever & the silicone keeps both the mat & litterbox from sliding. There is a lip around the edge that keeps litter from tracking & I find it’s easy to sweep & vacuum off stray litter. I purchased the largest size available, but I do wish they had one size larger available. Excellent product, 5+ stars!

I was perfectly prepared not to like this product. After all, I had tried everything else to keep the cat from flinging cat litter outside the box where she would joyously roll in it. The type of litter seemed to have no impact on her behavior and all the various mats that I had previously tried were of little use. Getting a larger cat box with high sides (particularly in the back) lessened the problem, but not enough.So, I sat down one day and thought about how I would design a litter mat. It would have to be large, but not too large for the space. It definitely needed a lip to contain littler spillage. It needed to be heavy enough so the cat could not move it. It needed to be kind to tender paws so that it would not result in inappropriate elimination. Armed with these specs, I looked at what Amazon had for litter mats and found this gem.The mat has been installed for about a week now and the bathroom floor is still pristine. This mat is made out of a rubber-like material that stays in place but that is easy to clean. It has a lip to contain any spillage. The cat has no negative responses to this (unless she's mad about not being able to roll in the litter on the floor and just hasn't told me).Here are a few tips from the manufacturer:1. Positioning: in front of box for max coverage (portrait orientation with ridges left to right to contain litter).2. Location: in a closet or in the corner or contained area of the room to guide litter onto mat.3. Litter box: vets recommend open box with low entry & high walls. No liner.4. # Litter boxes: one box per cat (+1). Place on each floor of house & away from food/water.5. Multiple cleaning options: o Surface design & flexibility allow for easy pouring of clean litter back into box. o Silicone material (no pores) water & stain resistant. Wipe clean with mild soap & water. o Sweep clean with large broom or small brush & dustpan. o Vacuum with hand held or attachment.Felines and humans alike at our house are happy with this product. Although cats are contrary creatures and you may not have the same results as I did, I would definitely recommend this product if you have similar problems to mine.

I have one of those rolling automatic litter boxes, and when it rotates, it dribbles out the side as well as out the front. I also have a little dog who likes to try to snack on the goodies within, and tracks litter out. I have tried several kinds of mats and ordinary rugs, with a still-substantial litter tracking problem.For some reason, I thought this would be like a stiff tray. It is instead heavy, soft, thick rubbery that rolls up nicely, with a pleasant wavy texture embossed on the up side, and little traction dot things on the bottom to enhance traction (though I don't think it probably needs it -- it is pretty heavy and non slippery, and does stay in place on a hard surface floor). The extra large is plenty large to catch both the front tracking and the side dribbles, is pleasant underfoot, and easy to vacuum clean. The edge around it is raised, and corrals most (not all) the litter. The mat is a little pricey, but far more substantial than comparable rug-like litter catchers, and should last forever. One small note is that it does have a distinct chemical odor, but this should fade with time.

Previous mats were not silicone and if a cat peed on them, the mat would never smell the same and that causes repeat urination problems on them.These are silicone, non porous and VERY EASY TO CLEAN! We had two messes on them and cleaning was a breeze. No more taking them out to the yard to hose them down. Now we can wipe them down, or because they fold we can use our utility sink in the garage.Neutral color works well in most spaces. The smaller size is perfect for any standard setup. The larger size fits perfectly in the Litter Robot farmhouse credenza.Very happy buyer. No more stinky mats that are a pain in the butt to clean.

Very pleased with this mat, it's a great size and does seem to catch most of the dirt box left on our cats paws when leaving the box, the actual material is first class in that it lies flat imeadiately out of the box and it grips the tiled floor like a limpet and is clearly easy to wipe off. I would most definitely purchase this same item again without a second thought.

This is by far the best litter mat I have ever used. It is amazing how this one mat has improved the life of both myself and my cat exponentially. It is the best purchase I have made for my cat, hands down. Every cat owner should have one of these.I work in the plastics industry and for them to use FDA grade silicone is great - the stuff is really good quality material that is usually reserved for baby products and products in contact with food.I've tried everything for my cat and was about to give up.My cat likes to claw at the litter mats. The wire-y textured ones I've purchased were obliterated within 4 months of use. They had giant holes in them where he likes to claw at when hes done inside the litterbox. The silicone has been pretty heavy duty and I am unable to find scratches on it at all and it has been about 6 months of use now. The ridges are protruded but not enough that they catch on his claws. The mat is heavy so its hard for him to lift up the mat.My cat also likes to throw up on litter mats. The wire-y ones were so difficult to clean as the vomit just got caught up in all the wire and fuzz. On the silicone it is a breeze to clean. Wet paper towel and a wipe is all you really need.My cat likes to track litter everywhere and the wire-y ones did little to trap the particles. When they were trapped, it was hard to get the pieces out of the wires. The ridges on this silicone mat really help to trap the litter. I am so happy my feet no longer step on bits and pieces of litter!!!My only regret is that I should've bought the even bigger size so that I'd just set the whole box down on top of the mat rather than setting up the mat just in front of litter box.

Pensaba que atraparía más arena de la que atrapa. Ésta sigue estando por el suelo frente al arenero. Por lo demás, se nota que un producto de calidad (el material). Pesa lo suficiente para que no se mueva frente al arenero, pero no recoge más arena que la alfombrilla que tenía antes... una pena...
