Indoor Signal Amplifier (LNA-5000)

I bought a signal amplifier from my local hardware store, because I could not wait to get TV channels from my homemade antenna going. I installed the hardware amplifier and it worked and I got 35 or 40 for a measurement of signal on my tv--don't know if this is dB or not. Foolish me! I should have waited for my order for this pre amplifier. I recieved the Low Noise Preamplifier and just kept it for a few weeks. One weekend we came home and the tv would not work. I replaced cables tightened up screws, but could not get tv channels. Finally I took off the hardware amplifer, which was big and bulky, and used only for a few weeks, and replaced it with this Low Noise Preamplifier. What a difference it made! This Low Noise Preamplifier boosted my TV signal to 60! Pictures and sound are really clear.We live 40 miles from the nearest TV tower, the farthest being 75 miles, and recieve only10 channels from 4 different towers. I installed thesmall shiny metal preamp closest to the antenna and plugged the rest in closer to the tv; we only have one tv.I am happy to have cut the cord from my satellite tv bill, this product really helped us get free clear TV channels!

Before this amp we got 1 station with 7 channels at 50% signal strength. After installing it (the amp. is right on the antenna's output port, as it says to do) after rescanning it still gets the same 1 station at 50% signal strength. Tried re-aiming it but did not help either. Maybe it will work for some setup's but not mine (GE 75 mile antenna, 20ft above the ground). We have about 5 stations with in 50 miles we should be able to receive but still only get one of them.

Product did work well for one day only due to malfunction of antenna. Maybe short in antenna, do not know for sure. Have had amp before and worked great.

Performs flawlessly. Added this to an attic installed antenna. Picking up 110 stations from 41 miles away through plywood, asphalt shingles and attic radiant barrier. Could not be any happier.

Great price for the added channels this was able to bring. In total, this helped me receive over 20 more!

Did not work for me. Sent it back.

Had for a few weeks, seems to be working well.
