Simple and works!
Going on 5 years now.. Only changed batteries twice. Works awesome.I do however need another lid. The lids last about 2 years in the Las Vegas sun. If I was smart I'd rearrange my pond to the feeder was more in the shade under a tree...

Taking care of my fish while I'm gone
Works pretty good maybe a little too much food for my small pond and only four fish trying to figure out how to get it to do a really really small portion

Programming is not self explanatory
I bought two of these feeders to feed my Chinese catfish in my aquaponics totes while I was on vacation. These held more than enough food for while I was gone and dispensed the food perfectly. I do wish the dispensing spout was longer, the tabs on the cover were more sturdy (you must push down hard on the cover before unlatching the tabs), and that programming was easier. The instructions for programming are clear, but I had to break out the instructions to adjust feeding times and amounts. Some reviewers questioned the feeder’s weather resistance. My two feeders survived two bouts of heavy rain and wind without breaking or allowing water into the hoppers. These feeders aren’t cheap, but they work and have the largest capacity I’ve seen.

Does the job!
Works very well and very fairly priced. Very flexible feeding sizes and easy scheduling.

Works well on test. Not waterproof. Not "critter" proof.
Packaged well. Easy to assemble.Directions on setup were good just a little bit complicated initially on how to program.Hopper is big takes lots of koi pellets (which feed very good thru the feed tube).Just set this up and initial automatic feeding the next day worked day worked great. Time will tell...Regular 5 gallon bucket will fit over the feeder after cutting out a slot for the feed tube. I think maybe the patio pavers coupled with screwing down the unit on wood planks (only provided 2 screw slots in the front (2 add'l screw slots in the backside of the feeder would have been even nicer) "should" work fine. With the 5 gallon bucket to keep the rain off and the unit screwed down on wood with additional paver weights on the sides.... maybe we have a shot with this thing! As this is temporary, while away, not real concerned about the looks ;-). Just needs to do its job!Bought two of these.... one for a 1,200 gallon pond and another for a 400 gallon pond.... With bucket protecting from varmits...... Worked great for about 2 weeks.... went on vacation and within two days each were visited by raccons.... nozzle was torn off of both feeders causing most all of the food spilling into the ponds..... lost 3 15 year old koi due to food dumps...... NOT recommended now.... tossed out and purchased the Hygger Automatic Pond Fish Feeder.... will see how this one does this summer....BTW, I knew the nozzles did not connect firmly in either case so used silicon glue to hold.... did not work either....

Portion size
It seems like a quality products but the smallest portion it could be programedfor was way to much for what I need per feeding. I have 18 goldfish and 3 koi all about 5” long. Our pond is 1000 gallons.

Did it's job very well
Product did exactly what it was supposed to. Our pond is very small, 4 feet deep and 6 feet in length, 4 koi,6 goldfish and a pleco. My fish were fed every single day on time for the whole eight days we were gone. I forgot to take pictures but I did exactly what other reviewers said to do which was to bungie cord it to a board or in place somehow and cover it with a bucket. Good thing I did because our security cameras caught a possum visiting the pond one night. I don't know if it's possible but I think the possum stole a pleco out of my pond. I haven't seen it since we left for vacation. We set it up a couple of days before vacation to make sure it would do its thing. I highly recommend this product.

Works perfectly - with a crate
The media could not be loaded. It works perfectly! we just wish it had an additional setting for qty. we have possum visitors in our backyard so we enclosed it in a wire crate and they have not been able to touch it. it works so well that you may forget to refill. Tip-set a reminder on your phone 😆
